Disney Daily Birthdays – July Exercise Challenge

I've got one color change to announce today - Congrats to our newest member of Disney's Hollywood Studios Purple, Tasha228!
Only 1613 minutes until the team hits that milestone - how soon can we do it?

Today we wish a happy birthday to an attraction that has encouraged lots of little dudes and dudettes visiting Disney California Adventure to learn all about the life in the ocean.

Turtle Talk with Crush opened at Disney California Adventure on July 15, 2005 (about 8 months after its Epcot counterpart). Little dudes and dudettes (and adults, too!) can visit this interactive attraction to interact with Crush, the 150-year-old turtle from Finding Nemo, and find out more about his life in the East Australian Current (EAC). Versions of this attraction currently operate at Epcot, Disney California Adventure, and Tokyo DisneySea.

Happy 10th birthday, Turtle Talk with Crush!

Walked then ran then walked for ~40 total minutes last night.
I have my biggest race yet on Saturday so I think I will give my legs a rest tonight. Run for 30 min on Thursday. And maybe a easy easy walk on Friday to shake my legs out...or not.
So not a lot of quantity this week. I dont' want to be fatigued or injured at my race.

BUT I have the race and then a day in the city and then Taylor Swift concert (OMG!) this weekend so I will have a lot of "walking around" minutes to log I hope.

310/900

50 minutes of yoga, not helped at all by the cat who decided that yoga time was really cat on the mat time.

720/1100

:rotfl:I thought my cat was just weird. She loves my mat, too!

I got in 20 minutes of walking yesterday. I didn't make it out today except for errands (and I doubt I will by the time I get chores done) - but I guess some days are just like that.

I'm at 290/620. --- One day to half-way!

19 minutes mostly arms, some abs
No running because the thunderstorms started as soon as I got home from work. :umbrella: Tomorrow looks good though!

Only 1,002 minutes until the team reaches this milestone ... how soon can we do it? I'll have some minutes to contribute later in the day, and I hope many other people will too!

We've also got a new member of Epcot Pink - congrats, lisah0711!

And now, for our daily birthday celebration!
Today we celebrate the birthday of the man behind some of our favorite Muppets, Dave Goelz.

Dave Goelz was born on July 16, 1946 in Los Angeles, California. Dave began working part-time with Henson Associates in 1973, creating Muppets. In 1976, he was promoted to Principal Muppet Performer, performing Gonzo. Additionally, he performed Zoot, the saxophonist of Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, and several other characters, including Waldorf (after Jim Henson's death). Currently, he provides the voice for Figment at Walt Disney World, and he recently voiced Subconscious Guard Frank for the Disney·Pixar film Inside Out.

Happy 69th Birthday, Dave! Thanks for being a Muppet!
