I have always wanted to go on a cruise, and I am giving some thought to a 4 day disney cruise next winter. I tried to request a quote from DU, but I keep getting an error message. I used Skyauction with great success for my recent trip to WDW, so I have requested a quote from them for the Disney cruise leaving Mar 6/05. The trouble is, I have no idea what would constitute a "good deal"; I have absolutely no idea what a cruise should cost. My only request was a stateroom with a verandah ( I think category 6 is the least expensive with this option). I know some of you folks have cruised, so if you could give me information on approximate costs for a family of 4 ( kids will be 10 & 8 at the time of sailing) in Cdn funds, I would appreciate it. Also, any tips on when to book, and who to book with, would be great!
Thanks for your help.

You could go to the DCL site and check out the prices for that date if you book directly with Disney Cruise Line themselves.
The prices change a lot depending on all kinds of things.

I went to the DCL site and punched it in and a Cat 6, 7 day Eastern cruise for March 5 2005 for your family would be $5469.40 (without air, ground transfers or trip insurance) cruise only. That would be in US dollars.

You could also try calling a few of your local Travel Agents and getting prices from them. Then you would have some ideas of what a good price would be.

Hope this helps some.

I also have tried but to no success! Your best bet as stated is to go to the WDW website itself and plug in your dates and then they will come up with a US Dollar amount.

I would deal directly with Disney, but only becuase I've not had much success with TA's!LOL

Also a good site is www.castawayclub.com and www.mousesavers.com for info and deals!

Happy Cruising!

m2cw, I would not bother with a verrandah for a 4 day, not enough time to really enjoy!

Hi,
I asked for a quote from Dreams Unlimited via email on Feb 13/04. I asked for a late April 2005, 7 day, Eastern Caribbean cruise, category 5 (cabin with a balcony), 2 adults and 2 kids, transfers to and from airport and port and received a quote for $5125.40US. Then you get a $200 US rebate for using Dreams Unlimited so that came down to $4925.40. I think that's approx $6,370 Cdn.

I've been on 2 Disney Cruises with my family and we had a ball!!! Everything was wonderful and excellent; nothing less! You would never regret going on a Disney Cruise, everything is so fantastic. We've booked for the 7 day Eastern Caribbean in Oct 2004 and we can't wait. That's why I couldn't resist asking for a 2005 quote. We probably can't afford to take another cruise in 2005 but you can always dream!!! And if not in 2005, then definitely in 2006!
