Did I read somewhere that us cruise brides can add a character to our event? If so, how much is it?

Yes you can add....we looked into it 3 years ago when we did ours....I want to say it was something like $100/character for 30 minutes....might be more too. It is easier just to ask who is going to be in the lobby that night and have the wedding coordinator bring you there!

I just found out it is $500.00 for the first character and $350.00 for the second. I plan on having Mickey and Minnie at my wedding. I guess it all depends on how busy the ship is. I was told I would know 45 days prior.

Thanks...$100 I might have done it, but $500 no way. Do you have to wait in the long lines to get pictures with the characters? Will they allow it to be us and our kids?

I'm not certain, but I think I read someone got to skip the lines to have character pictures taken on the ship with the onboard photographer.

Hello,

Im pretty sure this is a common question but does anyone know how much they charge to have the photographers for other then just the ceremony and afterward pictures.. i really would like to get some 'getting ready' pictures.. Just need to know the price to see if its worth it.

Also my packet is due in less then 20 days & we set sail in less then 70 :eek:

Wow, are you sure b/c I heard it was 900 for just Mickey! I am going to do this as a surprise for ALL our guests, including my fiance! :rotfl:

wow...I was really off!!!!

Our photographer told us that we could not skip the lines, however they knew when the characters would be on the move, so we could slide in as they were walking away.

That is super exciting!! I cannot believe it is 70 days for you. Boy the time is flying.....

I do not know your answer, but I sure wouls like to know too! I guess if it is not possible, then I will ask one of my BM's to do it.

That's the price I was given for the Magic. I can send you the email from Shandra if they quote you something different.
I'm doing a surprise visit as well. It is going to be so much fun!

Our photographer just walked us right up to Mickey and Minnie (in front of the line) and got this photo :)

I just joined this board and am learning some important info! I am getting married in Sept on the Wonder and have lots and lots of questions. I have the packet from our coordinator, but there's alot of unanswered questions. The pictures there is a good one. Is the bride treated to a spa day before or on the wedding day? Is it included or do I need to book it? Do we get any gift baskets? I know you can bring your own cake topper, but do they give us toasting glasses and a cake set to keep? Can I bring my own? Will someone record for me if I give them a camera? It's just the two of us going to elope.

And I know its a little off subject, but does anyone know where I could get some toasting flutes with Robin Hood and Maid Marian engraved on them? Does the Crystal Palace in DL do non-main characters?

I have 100 days to go and I'm getting anxious!!!

Welcome. I had a vow renewal booked on the Wonder in October, but ended up cancelling it. I can answer a couple of your questions. You do get to keep the cake serving set. You don't get a spa day, but you can make reservations for the spa at the same time as the suite guests so you should have no problem booking anything you want. Any spa treatments or salon services (which includes having your hair done for the big day) are extra.

Oh please do, that would save me SO much money, Can you PM? I am not quite sure how to PM you my private email, but will also try! :)

Do you have room for a newbie?!?

I've been lurking here for a while now but have been unable to post as my proposal to my boyfriend has been an 8 month secret!!

So, if you want to see the proposal, it's HERE

Just to explain, I belong to another Disney Planning website in the UK and every year, I help to arrange a our annual Meet with approx 200 people attending. At my 40th birthday party last Saturday night, I pretended that I needed to test a game on a large group of people in readiness for next years Meet. Of course, it was all a ruse to propose to Mick ... but see what you think.

My plan, if you can call it that at such an early stage is to get married in 2015 on CC as I think you can have more people attend with you there rather than on the ship? If someone could confirm that for me, I'd be really grateful.

Obviously, I can't do much planning yet as it's so far away, but I'll still enjoy hearing about your weddings/VRs in the mean time!

So my only question for now (even though I've read this thread front to back), is how many people can they accommodate at a CC wedding please?
Thanks :thumbsup2

Hi there!
I'm a fellow CC bride and I believe the max amount of guests on CC is 48, not including the bride and groom (I'm about 89% sure). But you can apparently ask for special permission for anymore guests. You're not guaranteed to be granted permission but I guess it's possible if you will be there at the right time :) Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for that info .. it definitely does help. 48 will probably be enough (it's the nieces and nephews that make up so many numbers)!!

When is your wedding ... I can't see your ticker for some reason.

Joa:)
