Hmm.. Could you ship 2 to your resort before hand? Maybe you can get a couple of extra DCL tags, if they're not breakable

can you ship to other members of your party? I've heard of others doing that.

To mommyarewegoingback - fabulous pics! You are such a tease only posting 3 pics. I need more! I want to know all about it!

Jen - what if you pack a REALLY big box?

What day are you boarding the ship?

Okay ladies... LOTS of pics here!!!

Ready??? :rotfl:

The kids, ready to go! Waiting on our verandah, the ship had a good deal of difficulty docking at Castaway due to the high winds. All excursions were canceled for the day, and it took a long time to dock, and then get everyone off the ship. So we had time to hang out in the room. The only real downfall was that we had scheduled to "stop by" the character meets on the island after the ceremony, but were unable to do that due to our delay in getting on the island to begin with.

After the ceremony. I didn't purchase any of the actual ceremony pictures from DCL. I know my mom snapped some, and frankly we were squinting, so I saved my pictures for the staged shots. I had the 174.95 package, which was 5 8x10s and 20 5x7s. I ended up buying 4 extra 5x7s.

DD and me :) I can't believe she is almost as tall as me already! Not like that's hard to do!:rotfl2: Notice the ORANGE in my bouquet? The color I specified I DID NOT WANT? :rolleyes1

Next up... the beach shots!

Our onboard coordinator, Vanesa, had shown us a book of photographs from previous weddings to get some ideas, and to serve as a jumping off point for discussing what kind of shots/places we wanted pictures. I got some ideas from the book, and had a few others already in mind. Vanesa took good notes, and on the ceremony day it was clear she had already discussed these with the photographer, Grace. So I didn't have to do a lot of direction, other than specify how many I wanted the kids in (lots!) as well. I easily had 200 photos to choose from. It was CRAZY doing that the last night! DH was upstairs packing, and I took the proofs to my MIL's room (since she was still in the wheelchair), spread them out on the bed, and quickly sorted them into "yes" "no" and "maybe" piles, paring down and down until I had my must-haves. DH never saw any until we left the ship!!

Vanesa kicked out 4 little kids who were playing in the hammock!! This was our first set of shots.

I love the water swirling around our bare feet. This was a suggestion by Grace.

I think this one might just be the Christmas card this year!

Love this one! It captures everyone's expressions well. Plus, DH was sneaky and put on his sunglasses- so he could finally stop squinting!! It was really bright, and his eyes are very sensitive.

Tomorrow I'll post the "romantic" shots and the Palo pictures! If I am forgetting anything, ask away.

Christine

Oh wow! Thanks so much for sharing. Looks like you had a fantastic day.:cloud9::love:

Can't wait to see more.:goodvibes

Oh just to add. I understand you didn't want orange in your bouquet but may I say it is gorgeous so I hope you wasn't disappointed with it.

BEAUTIFUL Pictures Christine! Love the outfits! U GH on the orange in your bouquet!! Have you talked to Brie about it???

Problem solved....i am addressing boxes to my BFF and my mom's cabin. Should be good to go. I already have a box going to the resort...with the M&M's and my Epcot bouquet.....don't want to carry on too much stuff!

Beautiful pictures....I love looking at everyone's shots. I know you asked not to have orange, but the bouquets did look lovely. I hope they gave you a discount for the mess up.

Your Pictures are Great....looks like they steped it up some in the last year. You got to look at a book of pictures....ugh so jelous. LOL Happy for you though!

yeah Lisa!! They probably showed OUR pictures! We are famous! Haha!:rotfl:

Lisa and Betsy, I was thinking the same thing...it would have been nice to see some shots ahead of time to get some that we really liked in our minds. And I was thinking that maybe our pictures would be in there.

Jen and Tina are going to have to look and see if we are in there, and then of course, take a picture of it...hee hee hee.

Awesome picture Christine! I am soooo excited now. So are the kids!

Jen - glad your problem is solved!

Lisa, Besty, and Chepic - I figured it would be your pics too! I'll check thoroughly if y'all are in there.

Okay, here are the romantic shots of just us...

This was one I saw in the photo book Vanesa showed us, and I really liked it.

This one is my favorite of the two of us, I think.

Or maybe this one, it's so hard to decide...:rotfl:

This one is in Palo, which was really nice. I am SO glad I had the Castaway ceremony, because I enjoyed Palo as a reception. My kids got a kick out of being "the only kids on the entire cruise who got to go to Palo"!!The only "catch" came that we had to walk up 10 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS!! Vanesa had coordinated to have the ship change their generator test from 11:30, to 12:00. During the generator test, the elevators don't work. Obviously with my MIL in a wheelchair, there was no way she could attend the reception without an elevator. Well, after our beach pictures we got back to the ship at 11:55. UGH they had already turned the power off!! Vanesa was a little embarrassed, I think. At least MIL had already made it up in the nick of time. Remember, we were late getting going due to the difficulty docking and clearing the ship, so we were running about 45 minutes behind the "original" schedule (but on time for Vanesa's Plan B schedule, at least!). And it was HOT. The first 5 flights were okay- I had been taking the stairs ALL THE TIME during the week anyway, to make sure I still fit into my dress! (I actually lost a little weight I think- and DD had to safety pin the back of it that morning!!) The second 5 flights were a little stuffier and by the time we got up there DH and DD were sweating. Gross! I was grateful I was in a short dress, rather than a big fluffy gown like my first wedding dress. I hate to sweat.

Tip for those with kids at the reception: I had the kids have apple juice for the toast, rather than spring for Disney's exhorbitant cost for Martinelli's. And it was free! The rest of us very much enjoyed the Fairy Tale Cuvee, in fact we had it with dinner twice prior to the ceremony day.

This one turned out really nice too, I think. It's a good picture of us both.

Christine

Your Pictures are beautiful. I am DYING to see the Pics the photographer took at DD's Wedding......Still checking her web site everyday hoping that they are there. She said 4-6 weeks possible, and it has only been 2 weeks since the actual ceremony and will be 2 tomorrow since we got off the ship!!!!!
