I read your TR -- looks like a fantastic time!!

Okay, I already have another question:blush:--I've been looking through photos and am starting to fall more in love with the Castaway Cay site--uh oh, still in the dreaming phase and already blowing the budget/changing my mind:laughing:. So here's my question--what is the back-up location if it rains on CC day? And--if you're moved inside, do they give you a credit for the extra fee you paid to be on CC? (I'm betting not, right, but just wondering). Thanks again!!:goodvibes

I'm not thinking about rain at all!! :lol: I would assume teh back up location would be a lounge on board. I can't even imagine that! I'd be so heartbroken.
 

It's teh bahamas! We're past hurricane season and not in the rainy season....we'll be just fine! You too!! Besides....i'm sure they could push the time back a bit if needed. It's not like there is a torrential downpour from 8am -4pm daily! :scared1:

Anyway, yes - they credit you the $1,000. And your wedding is held in either Cadillacs or Sessions.
 
They will credit you!?!?!? :eek: WOW shocker! But i guess that's a bit comforting....:scared::scared: RAIN RAIN GO AWAY!!
 
Jen - December is out of hurricane season and very little rain unless a cold front passes through and then it is very quick shower
 
I was also told you would get a refund if Castaway Cay is rained out! But I have another question...if you are rained out and moved to Cadalics or sessions do you still get the Palo reception?

Yes, the dinner at Palo is included for the 2 of you...you choose the day that you want to go.

Oh you mean the Cake Cutting in Palo? I am not sure. I do know they give you the $1000 back and also will wait awhile to see if the rain clears up before moving you! I never once thought about rain....I just knew it wasn't going to happen!

The Castaway Cay site is so beautiful and so romantic. I just loved walking down the beach towards my DH. He had the cutest smile on his face and soon as I got to him he told me he was so glad he never peaked at the dress! LOL
 
I would think you still get the Palo cake cutting/champagne toast if the ceremony is moved due to the weather.
 
just got an email from DFTW from Brianna Marshall letting me know that due to staffing changes she is my new planner! Anyone else get this? The email gave all her contact info/hours, and said she would be contacting me shortly to review my VR plans.

I hope she knows about DCL! I knew DFTW was laying off, I feel badly if Cathy lost her job.

yes..Cathy was part of the recent DWTW layoffs..

I am very sad. She was very instrumental in making some special moments of our day.
 
My daughter was told that Brianna would be her new coordinator at the end of last week I think it was. She also received an e-mail. Her Wedding is durring the November 8th sailing. DD went ahead and sent an e-mail with a couple things she and Cathy had in the works, she is waiting for a reply but figures it was a holiday.

I had posted about this when DD found out but that thread has been locked because it got a little heated. I am not sure where it is if you go a few pages you should be able to find the original post but you cannot reply to it.

So I *think* (hope) that we're pretty close to a decision about booking a VR:banana:. We're still hashing out some issues but I think we're almost there.

I have a question about the booking process--do I call DFTW to find out which dates are available *before* I book my cruise, or will they not even talk to me until I have the cruise booked? We're looking at April 2010 so I'm about a year out but I'm afraid to book the cruise and then find out they don't have a spot open--although I guess I could then just cancel and rebook.

I asked this question on another thread but I'll post it here too in case someone sees this first--is there only one Deck 7 ceremony per sailing? I know there can be two on-board but I wasn't sure if they could both be on Deck 7.

I think it would be ok to call Brie and ask her if the cruise is available. at a year out you should be ok, but it never hurts to double check.
