Ladies I have a question for those of you who've already been married by Disney Cruiseline. Where you able to choose the date of your wedding if it was onboard? has anyone been married onboard while at sea? I'm trying to get married on a specific date lol I know everyone is. I mean I could be flexible but not have a specific date for save the dates is kinda driving me crazy.

Celebration Package = $349.95. It includes 20 - 5x7's, 5 - 8x10's, 1 - 8x10 Folio + event photographer

Wishes Package = $549.95. It includes 30 - 5x7's, 15 - 8x10's, 1 - 5x7 Wedding Photo Album + event photographer

Magic Package = $999.95. It includes 30 - 5x7's, 30 - 8x10's, 25 - Wedding Announcements, 1 - 5x7 Wedding Photo Album, 1 - 8x10 Wedding Photo album, 1 - CD of ALL IMAGES + includes event photographer.

Additional Offerings: Photo CD of ALL images = $399.95. 25 wedding announcements = $24.95. Additional 5x7's = $6.95 each. Additional 8x10's = $19.95 each.

According to Shanda, you have the photographer for about 1.5 hours for each package. Each additional hour of photography costs $85... I think you may need to schedule this with Shanda prior to your sailing date to be sure that your photographer is scheduled that extra time to be with you!

Awesome, thanks so much! We're going to be doing a vow renewal with just the two of us for our 5 year anniversary, so I'm not sure if we can justify the cost of bringing a photographer. We're having trouble justifying the cost of the VR some of the time as it is Although I'll definitely have to do the math and make sure because between the package and extra time and the cd, it adds up quickly!

Yeah I think they don't assign the characters out to the last two weeks so you still have time, if you really wanted them. 550 for one, 850 for two. Halloween on my cruise I guess makes it a bit more hectic...

All I can say is you will love it if you go get one!

I am not going to book the characters for my wedding. Although it would be awesome, it would add one more thing for me to have to have to schedule and worry about, etc. I am sure I will be able to find some characters to get pictures with either on Castaway Cay or on the ship.

They are everywhere I am sure you will get some great shots! I just really wanted Mickey the most in his tux for the cake cutting....sigh....everything happens for a reason I suppose. I think I will soothe my wounds and get me an Ipad 2 this weekend.

I am sorry won't be able to make it. the iPad2 should be a worthy consolation prize though. I had mine since June and love it.

VERY sorry to hear that! I would love to have Mickey & Minnie at my reception, but atop everything else, I don't think I can afford them! My friend had them join at their reception at California Grill and I adored having them there! I guess I'll just have to stalk all of the characters in my wedding dress to get those photos!!! haha!

Stalking works! When ALL the Princesses were in the Atrium of the Dream, our (non-Disney) photographer and I tried to get them all in one picture with my bride. They couldn't/wouldn't do that for one reason or another (crossing storylines, time, rules etc.. ) and they were going right from there to the shows, BUT.. and this was awesome.. He (the princess wrangler) suggested we wait in the open area by the shops and he would make SURE each one stopped by for ONE picture. So we stayed in place for 30 minutes, and got a picture with each and every princess Disney has! It was priceless!! We even had a couple young girls take pictures with the wife!!!

Priceless!

Remember, If you dont ask, you wont get anything!

OH! Also, if you're on the Dream and have Tom, ask him for suggestions, he USED to be the character manager!!! Apparently he still has some pull with the characters!

I didn't have a choice..I gave them our dates (we had a back to back booked) and they gave me the day that was open. I know Patty was told it was going to be on one date, then when she boarded, they moved the date due to an itinerary change which can always happen.

All we had to do was tell our ship photographer we wanted some character pictures and he took us right there to the front of the lines. Brent wasn't thrilled but I was.

I wanted to ask everyone about the cake. I didn't see this discussed anywhere recently, but do you still have the 3 style options? Has anyone successfully had any personalizations made to their cake recently (colors, no white flowers, whatever)? Can you provide your own topper? Can you have the two layers be different flavors? Lastly, for anyone who's had a cake recently, what flavors did you get and how were they?

Cake is very important to me. Haha. This was the cake at our DFTW in WDW, and I was so, so in love with it. I know our VR cake can't be anything close to similar, I just don't want it to be a complete letdown

I know the paperwork Shanda sent me earlier this year has different flavors listed on it than what's on the website now. I'm waiting for her to respond to my email about which info I'm supposed to be following!

Aww, I'm so jealous! I saw where a goldielocks(sp) had done the MK shoot and I told DF about it hoping he would spring for it, but he had a valid point in his refusal. I wanted pics in my wedding dress but he reminded me that we only have a few days (2) to even go to the parks and I get very cranky when I miss out on sleep. So, we'd get up early and then miss out on a whole day at the park because I'd just want to sleep. He promised though that we'd get awesome pics at all the places in our wedding Mickey ears!

On a side note, how do you upload pictures to this site? I keep trying to upload them to my PJ and it just isn't working for me!

I agree if we were only there a few days we would not have done the shoot but we are there for ten days after our wedding so even if we slept the day after I am OK with that...Lisa (Goldelox) her pics are what inspired me to have a cruise wedding/do the MK shoot her pics were fantastic and I requested the same photographer!!! LOL

Haunted Mansion sounds good... Can you go inside?

I'm SO excited- my manager arranged a behind-the-scenes Haunted Mansion tour for some of our area cast members this week- we have to be there at 6AM before the park opens! It's SO worth it to get up early on a day off to experience this!

I don't think they'd allow photos on the inside of the attraction, though... I know if I were to take out a camera during my tour and snapped some photos, I'd get terminated SO fast! It would be really cool to have those photos, but as a cast member, I doubt they'd allow it because they're very strict about their "show" and protecting the magic. Plus, the lighting in there would be terrible! It's so dark!

Carrie had photo's taken inside the lobby of ToT..so maybe it can be arranged
