Does anyone know if you are able to switch your dinner from Palo to Remy. I haven't been to either but French food sounds good. Just wondering if that is a possibility. Very excited for our VR next year!

They are charging more but the number of people included in the price is the same. For Castaway Cay for me it was $3500 for the couple and 8 guests. Every additional person was $20.00 which covers the cost of the cake and toast and transportation to the wedding site.

LOL I see it as 2 people less for 500 more!

You know what I was allowed 10 guests total, it sounds like you were only allowed 8....that is where the difference is

I was allowed 8 guests, bride/groom for 3500.

I don't see why not but I am sure there would be an upcharge of probably 50ish a person...

11-11-11!! All of us are soon!! I sail on November 5th. 2 1/2 weeks. So happy about Mickey and Minnie. I thought DCL Entertainment was going to say no

Yes it cost $850.00. She told me I would only know 2 weeks out, but I guess they were early.

They are there for the cake cutting and toast. A total of 30 mins. I have a few kids coming, but I really just want them I'm some pictures

That is a great idea...I was trying to figure out how they would fit in on the beach. You will have some awesome pictures!

Celebration Package = $349.95. It includes 20 - 5x7's, 5 - 8x10's, 1 - 8x10 Folio + event photographer

Wishes Package = $549.95. It includes 30 - 5x7's, 15 - 8x10's, 1 - 5x7 Wedding Photo Album + event photographer

Magic Package = $999.95. It includes 30 - 5x7's, 30 - 8x10's, 25 - Wedding Announcements, 1 - 5x7 Wedding Photo Album, 1 - 8x10 Wedding Photo album, 1 - CD of ALL IMAGES + includes event photographer.

Additional Offerings: Photo CD of ALL images = $399.95. 25 wedding announcements = $24.95. Additional 5x7's = $6.95 each. Additional 8x10's = $19.95 each.

According to Shanda, you have the photographer for about 1.5 hours for each package. Each additional hour of photography costs $85... I think you may need to schedule this with Shanda prior to your sailing date to be sure that your photographer is scheduled that extra time to be with you!

For me, the BIGGEST issue I had with booking Disney's photography was the short amount of time you get with your photographer! $85/hour extra isn't terrible, but the IMAGE is really what I'm looking for and I want zillions of pictures and I want to know who my photographer is prior to sailing!

With my Lovely DCL DIS Brides' recommendations, I too have booked TWO photographers to come aboard with me! After researching everyone's photographers (my favorite of which is Mikkel- I adore her, but I can't afford her! She's so darling and checks up on my wedding planning process!) I felt like I'd contacted every photographer in the area and I was definitely losing hope of finding an affordable cruise photog.

I found Lora Rodgers on theKnot.com and she loves the idea of expanding her portfolio with a Disney Cruise wedding, so she's agreed to do it for only the price of her cruise! She's even throwing in an additional photographer so we can get more angles of the event and both the bride and groom can have a photographer follow us as we get ready!!! I'm ecstatic! I booked them immediately (before the re-categorization took place!) before I even met her! I'm proud to say that Michael and I met her yesterday at Earl of Sandwich at DTD and we adore her! We're so excited to have her on board! I can bring her along to the civil ceremony on the embarkation day and I get her all day long on our wedding day! We're going to get hundreds and hundreds of photos all on our own CD as well as on her website (no watermarks!) where we can order prints online.

I'm currently elbow deep in styrofoam and silk flowers working on a Mickey Pomander! It's a lot of fun (but a bit on the expensive side) but I would recommend that my crafty DIY DFTW brides try making one too! Once I figure out how to make a PJ, I'll post my photos

Well Shanda emailed me and said that Mickey and Minnie will not be making it to our reception....I am so bummed out She said that due to my wedding being on Castaway Cay and Halloween there is so much going on that they can not make the 30 mins for the ceremony....boooo!

VERY sorry to hear that! I would love to have Mickey & Minnie at my reception, but atop everything else, I don't think I can afford them! My friend had them join at their reception at California Grill and I adored having them there! I guess I'll just have to stalk all of the characters in my wedding dress to get those photos!!! haha!

They are everywhere I am sure you will get some great shots! I just really wanted Mickey the most in his tux for the cake cutting....sigh....everything happens for a reason I suppose. I think I will soothe my wounds and get me an Ipad 2 this weekend.

I am not having Mickey at my reception either just because I didn't realize we could and now it doesn't seem that important to me since I have so much other stuff to do. I cannot worry about one more thing!

Yeah I think they don't assign the characters out to the last two weeks so you still have time, if you really wanted them. 550 for one, 850 for two. Halloween on my cruise I guess makes it a bit more hectic...
