I'll let you know when I find out.

What was the song? As a professional pianist, he should have some sight reading skills so it's good to know that DCL pianists can sightread well. Not that sight-reading is enjoyable, God knows how I cannot wait to pass my music theory classes and not have to sightread three times a week for an hourI'm hoping to give my pianist some Disney sheet music and ask him to just improvise between them. He could play basic chord harmonizations and I would be happy
As you can see, the music nerd in me is starting to show! Lol
It was Ben Fold's "the luckiest"..you can hear him play it in the clip below...I had 2 pieces..the full on sheet (whatever that is called) and an easier version..so when I handed him both to ask which he wanted to use, he kinda chuckled and took the full
I can read music but this was COMPLICATED...He knocked it out right there in the lounge before his evening set..So maybe you could do the same thing. Our onboard coordinator arranged for us to meet him on night before his set.
That's WONDERFUL about the pianist playing during your pictures! I'd love for my pianist to do that. I'm so happy you got to meet with your pianist beforehand. I would absolutely love to speak to my pianist before the ceremony!!!!he did "speed it up" so he could play a good portion during the processional..if I had used the CD, I don't think we would have had as much played
He also played it again while we had our pictures taken after the ceremony..I didn't even know he was still playing during the pictures until I saw the video when we got home

Spoke to a photographer that said that DCL can't know that we are doing business with him because it would break some sort of work permit law in the Bahamas. Apparently, he's done cruise weddings before and says that to be able to do official business we would need to pay $800 a day for a work permit since he would be doing business on Bahamian waters/land (Castaway Cay). Anyone know about this?
That's what he said and exactly what I was thinking lol what photography are you bringing on board?I never heard of that and we are bringing our own photographer...I would not worry about it too much as I have seen other people bring their own photographers as well..when all else fails you just say they are familylol

I was looking at her website and I LOVED her work....until I found out that she lives in NYC
Did you have to pay for her airfare as well as her cruise fare? I'm kind of pushing the boundaries of our budget just by having to pay for a photographer's cruise fare. On our sailing, one person in their own stateroom would put us at $1,053
