I am wanting a Disney Cookbook, but there are too many to choose from. Anyone have one that they can recommend? I like cooking and love the food we eat while at the various restaurants and want to try to make some of them.

I have the docking with the Disney Chefs one (the newer one). Only recipe we have repeatedly made was the honey sesame chicken from nine dragons.

I have a few and I think the one we use the most is Cooking with Mickey and the Chefs of Walt Disney World (the first volume). I make Spoodles' Hitipi dip and the Yacht Club Galley's Cobblestone Cheddar Bread all the time. There are lots of other great recipes in the book that I make less frequently.

Does either book have the Canada cheddar soup recipe?

Cooking with Mickey and the Disney Chefs (2004 edition, don't know which, think it must be volume one as it has the hitipi dip in it) has the recipe. Very rich, half a pound of bacon, 4 cups milk, 3/4 pound grated white cheddar, no telling what the calorie count is!

You can find the recipe for the Cheddar Cheese Soup from Le Cellier on the allears website. I found it before and plan on making it when it gets a bit cooler here. Warm soup and temps in the 80s doesn't sound really good.:confused3

Yes. The one I mention in my earlier post has that recipe. Here are some other fan favorites from the book:

Mom's Meat Loaf (50's Prime Time)
Cobb Salad (Hollywood Brown Derby)
Grapefruit Cake (Hollywood Brown Derby)
Tonga Toast (Kona Café)
Grilled Pork Tenderloin (California Grill)
Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli (California Grill)

My favorite Disney cookbook is really old and features recipes from restaurants that are unfortunately not around anymore. I think it's called Cooking With Mickey.

My favorites from this book are the Beef and Barley Soup from King Stefan's Banquet Hall (now Cinderella's Royal Table), Clam-Corn Chowder (Columbia Harbor House, I think), and Bangers and Mash from Rose and Crown.

I do have a newer cookbook, a smaller more recent one (Cooking With Disney Chefs?) and I've never made anything from it.

Don't you know that there are no calories in Disney World? :rolleyes1

Thanks for the other ideas, everyone. I know I can find most online, but I don't know what others I would want and my mother in law is asking for ideas for a Christmas gift, so I'm trying to find one to give her. :goodvibes
