May 8th, 2013 (Part 3) - Birthday Lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern!

Dream Along With Mickey was going on while we were in line so of course you know Mark and I sung along to the whole thing!

We were getting closer and closer! I was OBSESSED with this tapestry! God, I love how elaborate this queue is.

We got up there and the family before us had THE MOST ADORABLE kids. The little girl was jumping up and down while she was waiting for the okay from the character attendant, and once she got it she RAN right into Merida's arms and just MELTED. She hugged her so tight and just was so in love. Then her little brother came on Merida's other side and just had her hold him too. It was literally THE CUTEST THING I have ever seen in my entire life. I was smiling so much.

Then I went up to go meet Merida and she was all excited it was my birthday. She was like "do I have to curtsey to the princess on her birthday? I've been practicing but I don't know.." And I was like "nahh it's okay!" Casual princess over here.

Merida told us about how she is nervous for her coronation on Friday! I told her I was going and she asked "can you just sit in the front row and if I trip, just push me back up onstage?" I was like, "yeah I got you, girl!"

We got our picture taken and it was GREAT! I love Merida. Her dress and her hair are too amazing.

After we met the spunkiest princess we walked onto Main Street USA and took some more castle pictures!

So then our next stop was Adventureland! I got my BIRTHDAY DOLE WHIP because what birthday in Disney would be complete without that?

We sat in the hot sun while Mom and I ate our refreshing dole whips. Then we decided to head over to Liberty Tree Tavern for my birthday lunch! I literally booked the reservation like an hour or two before when we passed it. I couldn't figure out where the heck I wanted to eat on my birthday but when I saw the restaurant I knew that's where I wanted to go!

While we waited for our table, Mark and I colored! All of my favorite childhood activities were happening on this day, clearly. I had so much fun! Coloring is just so therapeutic and it really helped pass the time while we waited for our table.

We were called and brought to our table! Our waitress' name was Consuela and she was a trip!

YAY LIBERTY TREE! Mark was wearing his DCP graduation ears because his ceremony was this morning. He was leaving me so soon. ):

The three of us ordered our entrees and we were excited! I got the delicious pot roast! I have such fond memories of it from my last visit to Liberty Tree Tavern so it definitely had to happen. It was just as good as I remembered! The meat tasted great, the gravy and vegetables were flavorful, and the mashed potatoes were perfect!

Mom got the veggie burger and sweet potato fries! I ended up eating the majority of her sweet potato fries because sweet potato fries are my favorite food. <3 She loved her burger!

Then Mark ended up getting the Thanksgiving dinner! He gobbled it right up!

We skipped out on dessert because we were just so full. So we headed out of Liberty Tree Tavern and went on our next adventure!

DID SOMEBODY SAY ADVENTURE!? Yep, thats right, we went to go line up to see Peter Pan! Dream Along with Mickey was going on while we got there so we staked out our spots at the beginning of Peter's line!

May 8th, 2013 (Part 4) - Meeting Peter Pan, Aladdin, Jasmine, and Ariel!

Once DAWM ended, Peter came running out to meet us!

SEIZE THE MOMENT!

Mark and I got obsessed with this picture. Is there anything more perfect!?

Then we tried to get in line for Aladdin and Jasmine again, but their line was closed AGAIN. Seriously, their line was INSANE today. Everyone just must've been thinking "well it's Jess' birthday so we might as well go meet her favorite characters!" Haha but in all seriousness, it was nuts.

So we had to wait for the next set time. So we got Splash Mountain FP's (which we never ended up using) and we wandered through Frontierland Mercantile. Mark and I bought some pins that we fell in love with. I got a chip and dale pin, a living with the land pin, a Brave mother’s day pin, and a Peter Pan pin! I wanted a birthday one but I didn’t see it, so I’ll have to keep my eye out for one.

Then I wanted to make one of the engraved bracelets for my Disney College Program! Mark and I wanted to get matching ones but his wrists were too big. WAHH. I still got one anyway and it says “DCP 2013” with a little Minnie Mouse charm next to it. It’s a braided bracelet that’s black and it has a pink inside. It is VERY cute and I’m pretty much obsessed with it.

Then we went back to see if we could get in Aladdin and Jasmine’s line and it was CLOSED. Ugh. I was so sad because I wanted to meet them but it just wasn’t happening. So my Mom offered to just wait after the line for the next set while Mark and I went to go ride Splash Mountain.

Unfortunately we got to Splash Mountain and it was closed. However, Mom texted us to come back because there was a little extra room in the line and we were allowed to be squeezed in! Everything happens for a reason, right?

In the midst of waiting in line for Aladdin and Jasmine, I got a call from this floral company telling me that there were some flowers being delivered for me but they couldn’t get inside Patterson. So I sent Sergio to go get them since he was home and I asked him who they were from. He then sent me this picture:

We were all SUPER confused and also laughing really hard about it. So I called the flower company and they were like “OH NO we messed up the orders! We will bring the correct flowers back to you!”

So they sent the delivery guy over and I made Surge walk all the way to Patterson’s entrance to grab them AGAIN and they ended up being from my Grandma. LOLOL. What an awkward situation.

Anyway, it was finally time to meet Aladdin and Jasmine! I walked up to them and Aladdin IMMEDIATELY said, “You know, Jasmine, you two look like you could be sisters!” And she was like “why yes we really do!” Aladdin then asked where I was from and then he said “who would’ve known that the princesses from (my hometown) are just as beautiful as the princesses from Agrabah?” *SWOON* “And from this day forth, all of the books shall say that the princesses from (my hometown) and the princesses from Agrabah are both extremely beautiful!”

Like… WHAT!? Was that seriously real life!? Aladdin, my childhood and teenage and adulthood LOVE telling me that I LOOK like his girlfriend/wife/whatever AND that I am as equally as beautiful as her. AND Jasmine, herself, told me THREE TIMES now in the past WEEK that we look like we could be sisters.

Literally, best birthday present EVER. Best WEEK ever. BEST DISNEY COUPLE EVER. I was so insanely happy.

And to make it even better... this picture is just priceless. LOL

I thanked him so much and we talked all about my birthday. EEEEP I absolutely love them. Jasmine was beautiful, Aladdin was GREAT, and literally I was just so giddy and excited and IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY AND ALADDIN LOVED ME KLDSFHDKSJHFLAKSJHFDLKADJHSFLKAJH!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention: THE GENIE WAS OUT. Like… WHAT!? THE GENIE!? Oh my God. I was so excited. Literally this birthday was perfect. PERFECT!

They even let me take a group photo of them! Ahh they're so perfect!

Then we left and started wandering, and then we got a message from our friend Haley from home! Her and her Mom arrived today and they are staying at the Boardwalk too and they were ALSO at Magic Kingdom today! They were coming to Adventureland so we promptly turned around and I RAN and gave Haley a HUGE HUG!!!! Oh my goodness I miss this girl SO MUCH. And her Mom is such an angel too. We talked to the both of them for SO LONG and we just caught up on EVERYTHING.

We stood there and talked for A LONG TIME and Aladdin and Jasmine’s next set started in the midst of everything. I looked back over at them and they saw me and they were both waving like crazy and they were like “HI JESS!!!!!!!!” Day. Made.

So after talking for a while, it was starting to get late. Haley and her Mom had Space Mountain fastpasses and we needed to go meet Ariel, so we parted ways. It was SO GOOD TO SEE THEM. Ahh I also love how we are all staying at the Boardwalk.

So we walked back to New Fantasyland and I was praying that Ariel’s line wouldn’t be long. I was expecting it to be 40 or 50 minutes. So then I walked up and the sign said 15 MINUTES!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME MY LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

We got in line and it wasn’t even 15 minutes. Ariel was ADORABLE. She just grabbed my hands and we talked about my birthday and she was so happy that I came to meet her!

AHHH The Little Mermaid was my obsession when I was 4 and 5 years old and I just felt like I was still a child when I met her. Everything was right in the world!

After we met Ariel we had to leave Magic Kingdom! I didn’t want to leave but we really had to go get ready for dinner.

So envious that you were able to spend your birthday in Magic Kingdom! I saw La Nouba back in 1999 when dh and I were on our honeymoon. At first I wasn't sure dh was going to enjoy it but when we walked out, he was just in awe! Highly recommend to all - Cirque du Soleil is just indescribable. We just took our daughters to see Totem in NY and they cannot wait to see another one!

Looking forward to reading more on your TR!

Well after being a long time lurker of the DIS I am signing on with my first post ever!!!!

Jess you have inspired me!!! I have about gone crazy with no updates for such a long time but I was so excited to check in today and see all of your updates. It just made my whole day!!!

I am also excited to say that a week from today I will be in my total happy place!! I am coming home to Coronado Springs and Disney!!! We will be there June 16-June 22. I hope that I will be so lucky as to meet you while we are there I feel as though you are part of my Disney family and would love to see you!!

Keep catching us up on those reports and I will anxiously be awaiting them and my arrival at The Happiest Place On Earth!!
