Wow. I just don't get people. I appreciate the time & work that anyone takes to do trip reports or food reviews. It makes no sense to me to criticize those that are giving of themselves.

It's a happy day for me when I see you've posted updates - please don't stop sharing your adventures! I've read all your trip reports and they're so fun to read. You are a special young lady and such a positive person. Unfortunately the world has too many negative Nellie's. Those that criticize are just plain JEALOUS!! People like you are who we want as Disney CM's - you have a bright future with them!

My daughter and I have been following along with your TRs for quite a while now. I rarely comment, but my daughter is an avid follower of yours, on here, Twitter, Instagram...I'm sure she comments often. I just wanted to say that I can't believe people have been making any of those comments to you. I was trying to figure out WHY, and the only thing I could come up with is jealousy. Who wouldn't want to live in Disney World, and be able to eat all their amazing food, and still be skinny and cute like you!

You're obviously there, having an amazing experience, and you SHOULD live it to the fullest!
My daughter hopes to do the CP and I love that she can follow along on here to see what it's like from someone who is actually there now.

I wouldn't even give a second thought to anyone who is making negative comments. Do they get that many teenagers are out partying, drinking, taking drugs, blowing off school, etc?!!?!

I love that my daughter can come here, and see someone like you, being responsible, obviously loving their job and being good at it, while having fun simply by visiting the parks and eating good food!!!

Jess - thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. I am almost done reading your other trip reports and I have been enjoying your reports.

I am so sorry that people have been leaving negative comments, and please don't let it get you down. You are a beautiful and smart girl and you have every right to live your life the way you want. I enjoy seeing what you buy, what you eat and what you do. You have given me a lot of ideas on what to eat on our upcoming trip and now I want to buy a new outfit for my Duffy. Please continue to live your life the way you see fit and don't let the haters get you down.

I'm so sorry that people are being so negative towards you. You are such a sweetheart and don't deserve that.
I think some people just don't understand how you can do so much and have the time to still go to the parks and have fun. I completely understand since I was once in your shoes. I used to live in Orlando (back in 2000) and was able to juggle working full time at Universal Studios while still going to college full time. In my spare time my friends and I would run into the parks every chance we had. I was in my late teens/early 20s at that time, so I had tons of energy to spare.
My motto in life is "work hard, play hard" and that seems to be what you're doing. I think the people who are posting the negative comments are just jealous of you and how much fun and happiness you are able to have on a daily basis.
Don't let them bring you down girl!

Jess, I have to tell you I am completely enjoying your report. I unfortunately did not experience Disney till my honeymoon but if I had I would have done the CP. Please do not let anyones comments bother you, you are doing a GREAT job!! Have a great time next with Preston!

I absolutely love everything about your trip reports especially this DCP experience! I agree that people are jealous and mean and never learned "if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all" People that make comments about your food intake or work ethic or spending habits are disgusting trolls! Continue to live your dream and do not waste one more second worrying about what those "trolls" think because everyone else on the whole planet LOVES you!!! I just have to say that I don't normally comment on threads. I just usually read, and read, and read, and.....well, you get the picture. I love reading your trip reports!! They keep me entertained when I am slow at work and need to look "productive". I found your thread while watching a disunplugged cast that named this top thread for Jan. So I decided to check and see what all the hype was about. I got all caught up on this and then decided to read all your other trip reports!! I have a daughter who is 20, and who will be applying for the DCP for spring 2014. She had originally planned to apply for the next session, but didn't want to be away from home for her birthday and Christmas. We will all be in Disney to celebrate her 21st birthday though!! I just really wanted to stop by and say keep up the good work, and say thank you for keeping me entertained! Don't let any one get you down!!

I'm sure you'll get a lot of supportive comments, but I wanted to chime in. People are so ridiculous sometimes! I don't usually read the comments, but I did see your friend Lia's post, and she's completely right. It's obvious what a hard worker you are, and I like reading about your experiences at the front desk and what you do to make the check-in experience magical. I've stayed at Disney resorts at least seven times in the past year alone, and I've encountered some CMs who were just there and didn't care about the guests, and it seems like you really do, which is great.

Anyway, I hope you and Preston have a fantastic time together, and I'm looking forward to reading about it!

Jess, I had to respond as well. I have had some of the same negative type comments over the past two years and I have to say I truly respect the way you handled this. I run on little sleep most days and exhaustion sets in and sometimes I let my fingers do the typing when I am tired...and things sometimes come out jumbled, insted of thinking about it then writing. I get some wild PM's as well. I usually just let them roll off my back. I have lots of life experience (ie: I am old ) and things still bother me or run around in my head. Continue to be happy, positive and as lovable as you are. It is CLEAR to those of us who are capable of thinking you truly ARE as genuine and caring as you write...and you have a lot of supporters. I understand the phenomena of people thinking they know you by what you share, I get that a lot and am often called Pollyanna (a title I don't mind). I KNOW there is a LOT more of your life you don't share and we get but a glimpse of who Jess truly is....BEAUTIFUL! I am so happy you aren't going to let a few sour people ruin your good time and I truly do have some first hand knowledge of what you described, unfortunately. I just need to take a page from your book and handle it better. I KNOW reading these messages of support have made you smile, they have me as well. Some people can't be happy for others, they are sad/jealous. I am THRILLED you have Preston coming to visit and so many more great memories to be made! THANK YOU for sharing!!

Jess, the PPs have said pretty much everything I feel. I'm so proud of the way you won't let anyone dull your shine!

You really don't owe anyone an explanation or excuse for the choices you make. When it comes to excuses: "friends don't need them and enemies don't believe them." Thank you for sharing how you feel though; for those of us who "get you", we never doubted why you do what you do for a moment.

I love every update you unselfishly provide for us while juggling work, school, family and a little time for yourself. Each update is like opening a gift with something very special inside! I'm glad you were able to express yourself and put the negativity behind you. Now get out there and enjoy yourself they way we DISers all wish we could!!!!! Moving on...

You don’t have to justify your actions to anyone. You live and work in Disney World!!! How many can actually say that?

I love reading this report. It brings up memories of my CP days. People who have never done a program like this don’t really understand it. You have a unique opportunity of both working and LIVING in WALT DISNEY WORLD. It’s like living in glittering sparkling cookie scented bubble because you very rarely leave it.

You will be a target because you, as one poster put it, are a semi-celebrity on this board. You will get your insults and it will be tough to ignore them because once something is said or written… it’s hard to take it back. No one likes to see negativity written about themselves. It does put a bad taste in your mouth you can’t get rid of.

Just add another layer of skin and ride another ride….or meet another character… or make magic for someone JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN!!

This time in your life will be soooo short…. You are going to turn around and it will be time to pack up and leave. Please don’t let some jealous people ruin it, because you will never get that time back.

You don’t know what your future path will lead you to… it may lead you back to a career with the Company; it may lead you somewhere else. You just don’t know.

Right now, you are living your dream! Live in the moment... and write it down…. and post it with pictures… of pins… and school bread… and I vote for some more pictures of cupcakes…. and maybe Disney fashion OTHER than tshirts…because those of us in the reading audience are getting our vicarious Disney thrills from you!!

You have more people rooting for you to succeed, than to fail.

I don't post much, so when I do post it is about something I really want to say, Jess, You are doing a fantastic job with everything, you really are an inspiration to young people out there (including my daughter) so just keep doing what you are doing and above all, stay positive, it will get you far in life.

Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your reports.
People can think they know everything about a person or cituation and know nothing at all. When my DD did a semester in London she talked about all the great places and things she did and people made similar comments. They didn't stop to think about all her classes and homework. Her job,she worked at a small theater doing everything from vacuuming, selling tickets, usher,stage work, building sets and hunting down props. In her "free time" she wanted to see and do as much as she could while she was in Europe. It was a special time for her and we told her to enjoy every minute.
You handled this beautifully and showed just how mature you are.I am sure your family and friends are very proud of you and they are the ones that matter.Continue to enjoy every second of this time.

My kids and I love your reports! I've been following them since the Bathrobe Princess days and they just keep getting better and better! As someone who has not been able to go to Disney in a few years due to various reasons, I appreciate the fact that you make me feel as though I am right there with you.

Loved the chapters with your family visiting. I especially loved hearing about how much fun your Nana had. So sweet!

My younger DD is a huge Manny fan, I'm worried he may disappear before November, with Sofia and doc possibly coming.

You're amazing. Your trip reports are amazing. Some people get jealous and can't keep it to themselves. Try to ignore them. They're not worth your time. Keep up the amazing job!
