Hi, Jess - I watched the DIS Unplugged episode last night. You are so cute! You were great! I am going to have my daughter watch it today.

I would love a link as well:) not sure what a podcast is?

Podcasts are like subject specific radio shows (all sorts of stuff - just find what interests you - Disney, history, technology, gardening, etc.) that you can listen to on your computer or download to your mp3 player (iPod, etc.) or phone. They are great! I mostly listen to audio, but the DISunplugged produces video (since January) and audio. I like audio because I can listen anytime (driving, walking, cleaning, falling asleep, etc.). It is easiest to find and download through iTunes even if you don't have an Apple product (I can still pull them into Windows Media), but you can also download through a web site if you know what you are looking (like the DIS Unplugged web site http://www.disunplugged.com/). You can also go listen to old episodes which is fun.

Here's a direct link to the video podcast with Jess...

Enjoy!

Great job on the podcast!! Can't wait for you to carry on with your report. Good luck to you heading back home and back to school!:)

Ah! My son just requested we watch Disney Videos on Youtube via our wii, and who popped up as watch next? JESS! So we are watching right now!!!!!

I loved watching the podcast! You did such a great job and seemed so comfortable. I can't wait for you to update so I can read more about your time in the college program!!! :goodvibes

Wow, like everyone else I just watched the Podcast and I don't really know what to add that hasn't already been said. Starting way back with the "Bathrobe Princesses" all the way until now, your story is just so compelling. And then to create a "Frump" phenomenon, a word that is now as much a part of Disney as Main Street USA.

You really are a Disney celebrity, and while I am well beyond the DCP years, you've almost made me want to move to Lake Buena Vista and start a new journey as a Disney CM. Oh who am I kidding, I totally want to do that.

The volume of people that you've made aware of this wonderful program can't be overstated and you insights on the podcast I'm sure will attract even more.

Well done, congratulations, and best of luck in all your future goals as your program comes to an end. :goodvibes

Adding to the long list of folks saying what a great job you did! Congratulations! :thumbsup2

Ditto!

I just finished watching the podcast as well. Very informative! And I really got more of a sense of what it is like for all those college students to apply and then give themselves up to Disney for months of training and all the work and all the socializing.
I bet it is a bit of culture shock when you must go back to school and leave the Disney lifestyle behind until you decide if you want to make a permanent move to Disney.
I'm glad the Dis took the time to do that interview! Very enjoyable.
You did a great job!

Great interview Jess! Wonderful job:) At the end you were asked and talking about if jobs ever "pay the bills" in real life, if you will, at Disney. I know you mentioned management positions and such, but I've always wondered too what kind of "career" those positions really are? For example, did you know of managers or higher up positions that had a house, mortgage, family, kids they can support? I know some people are "fine" working concierge all their life/happy...but are they able to support more than themselves and an apartment in Orlando? My husband dreamed at one time of us being crazy and moving to Orlando to work for Disney when they were cutting at his job....but didn't know if it could ever really be reality, ya know?
