DISNEY COLLEGE PROGRAM - A Spring 2013 Adventure! *COMPLETE* 11/20

I don't know what lens I have but it's really not too good as far as zoom goes. The only reason I have close-ups is because I crop them on iPhoto. I want to get a closer lens but at the same time I don't want to carry it around.

If the lens came with your camera (as a kit), then it's probably the 18-55mm lens (~3X zoom). You should look at the Nikon 18-105mm lens (~5.8X zoom). It goes just as wide, but also gives you a more zoom, in one lens. This would replace your current lens, so no need to carry or swap extra lenses.

Great updates! I love the interesting angles of your pictures especially when you include unique items in the foreground. (Cinderella's castle with the lantern in the foreground)

The pics of DHS look so beautiful at dusk. It's awesome to see how the feel of the parks change as the sun sets! You really captured that with the ToT pics.

You girls look like you had an amazing time! You really give of yourself tremendously when people come to WDW. Everyone around you can't help but have a wonderful time!:woohoo:

Enjoy your CP and stay sweet!:cutie:

Jess, Do you know when Disney will be getting the Disney Vera items in? I think I remember reading somewhere that it will be in the fall. I saw on VB website that they would be releasing their fall collection on July 9.

Thanks Tink

Jess,if you want to be adventurous on the 4th of July,I thought I would share what I do:

Watch "Disney's Celebrate America" from the TTC at 9:00 PM.
(The 360 degree and mirror fireworks are awesome from there!):)

Then immediately hop on the Epcot Monorail and speed on over to Epcot for IllumiNations/The Heartbeat of Freedom at 10:00.:)

It is GREAT fun!:)

Whatever you do,I wanted to wish you a very happy Disney 4th of July!:)

Hey, my name is Kathy. I just got caught up. This is the first report I have read of yours. My sister did her DCP in 2006, she really enjoyed it, made some really great friends. She also worked there for a year after she graduated college. She ended up going a different route but does still have a love for Disney. We are for sure OBSESSED with Disney, we've lost count of how many times we've been. I think when she worked there my dad went like 6 times and I went 5. Sounds like you are having a magical time! Reading your updates makes me miss Disney sooo much! We were there 3 times in 6 months (10/12, 12/12 for my sisters friends wedding at the wedding pavilion!, and 2/13 for the crazy princess weekend lol my sister and I ran). Now we're trying to plan a trip for October for F&W again! Absolutely love that, but we are over 21 haha

Nice thread! You are one lucky gal...you sure do get to enjoy WDW a lot as a CM on the college program. It looks like a blast...touring the parks, eating at all the dining venues, checking out all the resorts and water parks, etc!!!! I told my kids, who are in HS now, to think about trying to do it when they are in college. Thanks for sharing!

Reading reading looking at pics OMG THEY HAVE ARIEL LIGHT UP CUPS NOW I NEED ONE!!!!

Hey Jess!

I've commented a few times before but I mostly lurk on here just to check in on your updates. Really love your writing and reading about all of you adventures!

I just booked Via Napoli on NYE this morning because I've read good things about in your PTR :thumbsup2 I know you did NYE last year and if you could offer any tips about when to get into the parks (EPCOT) or anything, it would be appreciated!

Enjoy the Fourth! WDW is the most visited place on the Fourth which you probably knew, but still I am sure you will be busy and hope everything goes smoothly for you work wise!

Congrats on thread of the month again. I love this thread, it gives me a different perspective of WDW and also I have chosen a few different things to do when we arrive in October. 112 days!!! Until my happy place.

Jess,
I'm leaving for Walt Disney World tomorrow with my family (13 of us!!). I'll keep an eye peeled for you in the parks (I'm highly unlikely to get over to the Coronado Springs Resort, even if I knew your schedule! :) )

Aww your last day is my first day of vacation there! I just love your attitude, you don't focus on the negative and that is SO nice!

Just spent time this weekend reading your report. What a positive attitude you have towards life. It's refreshing.

I think I am going to try out Coronado Springs on my next visit.

I haven't been on the boards for quite awhile because of the unpleasant comments that are often made, but I had to read your thread after listening to the team discuss it on the podcasts. Your trip reports are wonderful, and you're having the time of your life! You are making memories that you'll have for the rest of your life and share with your children someday! My children and I stayed at Coronado Springs in June, and I wish I had known about your thread then so we could have said hello! Enjoy the rest of your College Program experience, and I look forward to more of your reports!
