I have both DC and AAA - does it matter which one I use to book my reservation? They both seem to have the same discount.? And I'm trying to find info about cancellation/deposit policy but my AAA person isn't that knowledgable.
Any thoughts?
Thank you!

The discount is the same the difference is who you book through and the cancellation policy. To book Disney Club discounts you have to book through Disney Travel Club. I've been trying to figure out the deposit requirements and cancellation penalties since the switch from the old Magic Kingdom Club days and it doesn't make sense to me.

I booked AAA discount through Disney central reservations. You don't have to go through AAA travel. You will pay one night rate plus tax for your deposit and it's fully refunded if you cancel 72 hours (I think) before arrival.

Good luck! I hope this helps you.:)

Don't get burned like we did! We originally booked our trip thru AAA and got an okay price for a pkg including air fare, transfers, and trip insurance (we were not given the option of what was in the package). This package was a Disney Travel Club pkg, and we paid a $200 deposit. We canceled that reservation this week, as I decided I could save money booking things myself. Well, low and behold, we only got a $130 credit because, AAA told me, trip insurance is not refunded by the Disney Company. This was never made clear to me by AAA when I booked the package, and I am very unhappy with their travel services.

We are now booking things through Dreams Unlimited, which we are very happy with, as well as booking some things myself.

The moral of the story is: if you book thru AAA, ask a lot of questions and don't pay a deposit until you have your answers in writing!!!!!! That lesson cost us $70.00

The insurance thing is the same with the disney club. It's non refundable, so you might not want to take it.

I have found that the best thing is to book yourself at the AAA rate. If you want the services of a travel agent, you can then transfer over the reservation. I've done this with dreams unlimited. I usually like to finalize my plans before I turn them over to an agent, though.

oooops, disney club must have made a mistake with me then. We had a trip booked with insurance and when we cancelled well before our arrival date they credited us the full amount
