Sign in and go to "News for Members."

"Dear Disney Club Members,

At this time, we regret to announce that The Disney ClubSM will be closing on December 31, 2003. We would like to assure you however, that we will continue to offer full benefits to all of our Members throughout the upcoming year. An official announcement will arrive in the mail shortly along with a 2003 Update to your Member Kit and your October minizine.

This means you will still be able to enjoy exclusive savings on Disney vacations, special offers and other Members-only privileges through the expiration date listed on your Membership Card or December 31, 2003, whichever comes first. We will continue accepting renewals and new memberships through December 12, 2002. .... "
Any idea why they are doing this?

Jon,

Disney have decided to discontinue the Club Card to be replaced by the Disney Visa Card so will basically have to spend a fortune on the visa to earn points which will inturn be used to pay for accomodation etc.From reading other posts and articles in the sentinel it would appear that not many people are happy about this change and I have too say I would also be one of those people,being a UK member of the Disney Club there are no plans too offer the new card to International members so leaving us high and dry.
