Hi,

We are going on our first cruise in December. What is the
Disney Vacation Club? How do you become a member and do
you recommend we join before going on the cruise?

Hi ADisneyMom!

I think you may be confusing the Disney Club and the Disney VACATION Club. The Disney Club is a membership program that gives you discounts on Disney resort reservations, certain types of passes and other benefits. The Disney VACATION Club is the Disney equivalent of a timeshare program, through which you buy time at certain DVC resorts.

If you're Disney Club member and your cruise is eligible you can get a $50 shipboard credit by letting DCL know your DC member number.

The DVC is a MUCH bigger expense and you can learn more about that on the ship, among other places, if you're interested.
