Disney Club Closing

Hi!
I have no idea where to post this so please move it around if necessary. I haeard the Disney Club was closing after their extendid renewal program was done so my card still expires in May of '03. My question is if I book a disney vacation BEFORE may of '03 for JUNE of '03 after my card expires will I still be able to get at least the room discount? I know I wouldn't be able to get any merchandise discounts but if I paid for the room before would this still help?

You should call the club and ask. I called last Sunday and was still able to renew my card until Dec. 0/3. It's worth a try! They pro-rated my membership fee.

They'll renew it at a pro-rated rate but won't open new accounts.

There is a detailed post on the budget board about the DC still renewing memberships. They prorate them for the year.

Since you would only need June - December, it would probably cost you somewhere around $17.49. A good deal for having peace of mind and keeping your room discount, along with car rental, restaurant and merchandise discounts.
