They are pre-recorded and happened the last week of April with the concert on a Saturday night (my kids and I were lucky enough to get tickets to the concert).

Disney Channel Games 2007 was taped April 24-27,2007 and Disney Channel Games 2008 was taped April 28-May 3,2008 at Disney's Wide World of Sports.
I expect the 2009 taping dates will be similar.-
