Disney channel games 2009 dates???

I checked the Disney Cruise site. There is a 4 night cruise July 19. The price for cruise only 1 adult is $1,730.48 - $3,165.48. For 1 adult and 1 child (up to age 17 is child) $2,170.96 - $3,810.96. For 2 adults and 1 child $3,176.44 - $4,816.44. This is getting expensive. Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are on tour, so they are out. I also checked for Emily Osment, Moises Arias, Jason Earles and Cody Linly and didn't find any info. I wish they would go back to Wide World of Sports or have and autograph session at one the the Disney hotel convention centers where you pay to get the autographs.
Thanks for the info!I know NOTHING about Disney Cruises. Are those rates "typical" for July or does it "appear" they have been "bumped up".If the rates are more than usual that may be another indication this is going to be a Charity Cruise(new charitable initiative) and the rates have been raised in order to give more more money to Charity.I think without the "Star Power" of JB and Demi,it DEFINITELY won't be as good as Disney Channel Games.:)

I have never been on ANY cruise.I LOVE WDW!Do you think I would like the Disney Cruise or do you think I would regret not spending that time at WDW?I feel certain we will know EXACTLY who is going to be onboard(unless there are some very late additions).:)

Oh, you'll love Disney Cruises!! They have the best service in the industry!! The food is decent. They entertainment is phenomenal!! I would book a 4 day to start, though.

Yeah, it's different than the parks, but you know how you always need a vacation from a vacation to WDW?? (well I do at least!!) This is the best vacation out there. I LOVE DCL! Everything's already planned and perfect, too!!

If you have any specific questions PM me. I'm happy to help!! :)

Thanks for the GREAT info and "sneak peek" of Tomorrow's announcement! After reading the info,I "doubt" I will participate because it "appears" it won't be one BIG Cruise with MANY DC Stars but a series of cruises with a few different DC Stars on each cruise.I will wait for more info before making a final decision. Thanks again-GREAT JOB!:)

your welcome and yeah i thought it would be one BIG Cruise with alot of stars not a bunch of Cruises with one or two stars. i like the disney channel games a lot better

Just found the info listed already with the stars and dates. Not sure that I will be going, would be nice if I had already booked and now found that a DC star would be on the cruise. Not sure I would book a cruise just because 1or2 stars would be on the cruise. I think Disney is doing this to try and get more people to book a cruise, because I am sure business is down. This is a way to get people on a cruise, just like they have pay for 4 stay for 7 days to get you to stay at a Disney hotel and go to the parks. I thought there would be more stars. Well lets hope they plan on the games for 2010.

I guess we were all thinking the same thing - lots of stars on 1 cruise. I was keeping this from my DD13 until I had more info but now that it is on Disney 365 it's a good bet that she'll see it today! Sounds like fun but I agree, not sure it is worth going on a cruise to see 1-2 DC stars. A great bonus if you were already planning on going.......

DC Games in 2010 - please???!!!

I agree with you about Disney dividing the stars to go on different cruises so that they get more people in each cruise. Smart idea but it sucks for those that have to pay high amounts just to see 1-3 Disney stars

Well, after reading all of the details,it realy isn't a hard decision for me.I "more than likely" won't be taking one of the Cruises. If it had been one BIG Cruise with MANY DC Stars,I "probably" would have gone. However,IF this is the "new charitable initiative" that Disney said they were going to concentrate on instead of having DCG 2009,it is more than I thought it would be.This is GREAT for DC Fans who had planned to take a Cruise this Summer anyway.I already have a WDW trip planned for August and will "most likely" stay with that plan.Again the Summer at Sea is GREAT,but "IT AIN'T NO DISNEY CHANNEL GAMES!".:)

I'm with you all on the comments....I'd rather be back at the Wide World of Sports and have the DC Games....... and the Jo Bros too!!! :lovestruc

A little news-the Disney Channel "Summer at Sea" cruises are DEFINITELY NOT the "new charitable initiative" that Disney Channel said they are "concentrating on" instead of Disney Channel Games 2009.The "new charitable initiative" announcement is still "supposed" to be forthcoming in "mid-May".:)

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Miley Cyrus & Nick Jonas may have put their love affair behind them, but the Disney stars are reuniting for a new song, E! Online reported.

Miley will join her former opening act, The Jonas Brothers, and other stars to record a track called "Pass It On," a song a source told the site is "Disney's version of [charity anthem] 'We Are the World.' It's about kindness and passing it on." --Access Hollywood
-----

Not sure if anyone posted this yet but I remember reading this back in April and I was wondering if it could have something to do with this? I think it's a good bet, if it's not just the song they use in whatever promotional stuff they shoot for this charitable initiative.

Thanks for the info!Your reasoning seems very plausible.I still don't think the "new charitable initiaitve" is going to involve anywhere close to the number of DC Stars as Disney Channel Games(over FORTY),but hopefully I am wrong.:)

The "new charitable initiative" has been announced and is being called a "pro-social initiaitve".It is called "Friends for Change:Project Green" and involves DC Stars encouraging Fans to help preserve the Planet.I'm sure more details will follow, but the announcement seems anti-climatic,in my opinion. It sure "AIN'T NO DISNEY CHANNEL GAMES!".;):)

Some more information-messages will begin Today on Disney Channel from DC Stars including Miley Cyrus,Demi Lovato,Selena Gomez and JB explaining how to help preserve the Planet. It is a year-long campaign and Fans will be able to vote on how they want Disney to invest ONE MILLION dollars in environmental programs.Hopefully there will be some kind of BIG event involving the DC Stars supporting this initiative at some point, but nothing has been announced.:)

hmm I definitely agree with the anti-climactic feeling. I mean its great that this is for charity don't get me wrong.. but I still miss watching the DC games! haha. and I only got to watch them on T.V. I think I would die if I had seen them in person! :worship:

I HOPE there is a Disney Chanel Games 2010 and I HOPE gou can attend.Disney Channel Games week is SO MUCH FUN!"Friends for Change" involves THIRTY DC Stars so hopefully there will be some kind of BIG event(s) involving all of them.:)

One of the NICEST DC Stars I met at Disney Channel Games 2008 was Meaghan Jette Martin. She was so generous with her time.In case anyone doesn't already know, she will be starring in a new series,"10 Things I Hate About You",beginning July 7 on ABC Family.I think she is a GREAT young actor and has a bright future.I loved her in Camp Rock and she did an awesome acting job because she is not anything like her CR character-in "real life" she is a "sweetheart".It is so good to see her career progressing-CONGRATULATIONS MEAGHAN!(I hope to see you at DCG 2010-IF THERE IS ONE!:))
