Disney Channel Games 2008???

My younger DD's birthday is tomorrow - so we are having her birthday party on Friday - a Camp Rock premiere party/sleepover!

Ooh fun!

I'm having a viewing party Tuesday, when it comes on On Demand.

We did this for DCG's opening last year at a Residence Inn with my DD then 8 and 20+ of her closest friends... they had a ball and I kept Advil in business... this year (this past Saturday) we did a party like a rock star party, everyone got back stage passes with plain lanyards that they decorated with Sharpies, a guy came in and recorded them all singing 5 songs and dubbed them while we partied, we took "promo" pics of my DD9 and the Tween Queens +3 (to fit in the boys who insisted on coming) and I ran to Walgreens and printed out 2 group pics and a recording pic for each child and stuck all of that, their CD eith lables and inserts and stickers, a thanks for coming cards, some candy (star shaped of course) gummies etc.. and some lip gloss into a goody bag with a CD lable on the front with party details... the kids had an amazing time and have the not so awesome CD to play over... and over... and (yeah, I could shoot myself about now but it really is so cute!)

They are going to be at an amusement park in Alabama.I also saw them last Summer at the Downtown Disney House of Blues.They are so talented.I was really impressed with the number of instruments they can play.I am sorry you think they are slowly fading-JUST KIDDING!

On Saturday, August 2, the teams must weave through an obstacle course while linked together, among other games and challenges. Platinum recording artists Jonas Brothers perform music from the forthcoming album, "Just a Little Bit Longer."

On Saturday, August 9, Disney Channel stars must match their rival teammates to their baby pictures or face making a splash in the dunk booth. The telecast features a performance by Jordan Pruitt.

On Saturday, August 16, the teams hunker down for a human foos ball match and the Jonas Brothers, Dylan and Cole Sprouse, and The Cheetah Girls all face off in an intense "Tug of Four" competition. At the post-games concert, Demi Lovato and Jonas Brothers perform.

On Saturday, August 30, the teams compete in the UltraMegaUltimateObstac-tacular Relay Challenge, racing in giant hamster balls while maneuvering through obstacles. The "Disney Channel Games" 2008 Closing Ceremonies features a concert by The Cheetah Girls

yeah i got a poster they were handing the glow sticks out when cody linley from hannah montana was handing out the trophy to the stars and then it starting to rain so we went in to the stadium part and when we walk back out the security guy was handing them out to everyone upstairs where were you sitting in the stadium or were you standing i was in section 214 some of the stars were in a vip booth right behind us and all of their family was in the vip booth we saw selena gomez david henry and his girlfriend kyle massey and chris massey cole sprouse life with derek guy i cant think of his name that's all i can remember

We saw it just one time on disney channel, during an episode of the Replacements... my DDs screamed when they saw our family on it too! We were in WDW watching the motorcar parade at HS and when they show Joe Jonas in the clip, we are behind him. The clip is so fast that if you blink you'd miss it. Too funny. Luckily we were able to record the 365 episode and have watched it quite a few times, paused... slow-mo... lol. My DD said, "Gee, tv really DOES add 10 pounds!"

Yes,the unprecedented "Triple Network Weekend"(Disney Channel,ABC,ABC Family) debut of Camp Rock is very impressive.Unlike High School Musical which was a "sleeper" hit,it appears Camp Rock will take off like a rocket from the beginning!I think another sign that points to Camp Rock being huge is that the first major public appearance in support of Camp Rock by the Camp Rock Cast was at DCG 2008 with the greatest "VIP Fans"(aka US!)!LOL

My dd showed this to me last night and since I did not know the dates that the Games would start airing, I thought I'd post in case anyone else didn't.

JULY 27 - The Disney Channel Games start airing at 8 p.m. The competitions were filmed in Orlando, Florida last April and features stars like the JoBros, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, cast of Camp Rock, Mitchel Musso, Jason Dolley and many more!



Is it too early to set up my DVD recorder?!

Seriously, I just realized we are going to be on a plane at that time. What to do? What to do?
