Hope everybody is doing well! My DD9 is video taping for the "My School Musical". I did not realize how much went into "directing"! Of course I am also the hair dresser, the prop girl, the cameraman and the caterer!

I came across this site when I was looking for information about the DCgames08. I had been to DCgames 07 as an AP. I am a grandmother getting autographs and pictures for a 14 year oid grand-daughter in MI..
This site had so much info that was correct info. Learned about the motorcade at DHS from this site and got wonderfully pictures for gd. I just signed up.
I wanted to thank lxh11, WEDWDW, SarahV17, Osjah&Landon'sMom, JIMMAR, TiggerinBama, joed911 for all of the wonderful info. I also am looking forward to DCgames09 and hopefully gd will be able to come in 09. Gd has dance competition the weedend before and the weekend of DCgames so her mother wouldn't let her come down for DCgames. Did not get ticket for concert, but went to the taping and got several autographs. I hope to keep an eye on this site and post more later. Just wanted to say thank you for all the info and hoping the Disney Channel keeps this open to the public next year.

I havent been posting latlely, as you can tell I'm a stickler for the rules. The games were defintently different from last year, and even though there was some mis-information about the fan fest this year, and the crowd was Bigger it was still great for the kids.
I personally think that it will continue to get bigger and better. Thanks to all involved in the DCGames 08, especially lxh11.
This is something that disney has said that they want to continue, so hopefully they will. Even though the parents complain the kids are still the ones that we need to worry about having fun.
My child had a wonderful time after she got over her second degree burns, from standing in one spot all day.(i told her to put on sunscreen, bet she will next time) She had a chance to meet some of the stars and said" hey mom they are just normal kids, just like you said".
I hope I 've not offended anyone on here, if so it was not my intention. anyways, I'm looking forward to next year. Just remember Disney has to do what the higher ups want them to do and sometimes things aren't as simple or as easy as we seem to think. You wouldn't believe the work and how involved this producton is, and the people who are part of it have to go through. I just want to say Kudos to all involved.

I just thought I would let everyone know that over on the JB fan board they are already putting together lists of people that are planning on flying down for the games in 2009. The discussion seems to be (obviously) centered around the JB being at the games again and how the fans are planning to "take over" the games. Given my particular experience w/JB fans at the games this year - I'm a little nervous about this effort they've got going on. They weren't even really organized in 08. Who knows - maybe I'm overreacting and it's a group of girls who may or may not be able to even get down to FL. But - heads up! The Jonas girls are planning.

My 15 year old and her two friends from school befriended Martin Barlan from DC France. On Monday they called him over and they were talking to him and he promised my DD's friend his wristband at the end of the games. They made an "I <3 Martin" sign and held it up on Thursday. He was really tickled by it. We saw him in his car by the gates and took his picture holding it. On Friday we saw him leaving the AKL and the girls took their picture with him. He "popped" his collar and said "do you like the French style?" and they all swooned! LOL

Anyhow, they held up the sign at the closing ceremonies/concert. During the part when just the Yellow team was on stage, Kevin Jonas saw Martin's sign and pointed it out to him, and sort of clapped him on the back for "getting those girls". LOL Martin came down later and found my DD and her friends and talked to them. He gave her friend the wrist band he had promised her on Monday. He wanted the girls to "hang out" on Sunday but there wasn't time.

Since then, my DD has become friends on myspace and Facebook with Martin and a bunch of Disney Channel stars. So, she was chatting online with Selena Gomez (some sort of myspace fan thing) the other day and told Selena Gomez that she was the girl with the Martin sign. Selena replied "the one at the closing ceremonies?" - so obviously Selena had seen it and remembered it. That was pretty cool.

But, then yesterday on Facebook, Martin replied to both my DD and her friend that he has the poster in his room "like a trophee". LOL They are sooooooo thrilled!

There's a DC Games group on Facebook and Jake T. Austin requested my DD as a friend. I thought she was going to pass out! "Mom! *He* requested *me*!" LOL We think it's really him because it's under his real name, not his stage name. Also, one of the DC stars from Singapore just requested her. She's in DC star heaven! LOL Now if only Joe, Nick or Kevin would contact her - her life would then be complete! LOL

That is SO great! I ran into another DC Games fan this year who I remembered from DC Games 2007 and it was also good to see a really nice Champion Stadium usher again this year who I remembered from last year.Also,to my complete surprise,one of the DC Games 2008 Stars told me they remembered seeing me at the DC Games 2007! As I said in an earlier post,at the Disney Channel Games(and I think a lot of it has to do with the location being WALT DISNEY WORLD)it seems like we are all just one big "family". It is truly a special event.

In case anyone doesn't know,DC Games 2008 "Fan-Friendliest Star" Alyson Stoner has put up a few DC Games 2008 pictures at alysonstoner.com.They bring back great memories-I really like that she included her Disney VIP Escort-that is just like Alyson to be so considerate.I think next year I am going to try to get some pictures of the Stars WITH their Escort.I talked to several of the Escorts this year and they are SO nice and they do a GREAT job "taking care" of their Star.They are really some of the unsung heroes of DCG. I saw them so much that I learned who was escorting who and then I knew if I saw a certain Escort that a certain Star was "in the area"!LOL

Well,I definitely think JB will be part of DCG 2009 because of J.O.N.A.S and ,in my opinon,the inevitable Camp Rock 2. I think Big Rob can handle things for JB! However the rest of us will be on our own again.LOL All that I know we can do is just "make the best" of the JB Nation situation.They will definitely be there.I hope all the Camp Rock stars return next year-we can tell them we knew them BCR-Before Camp Rock!LOL I love all the Camp Rock stars,but especially Demi,Alyson and Meaghan and I think they are going to be SO famous in TWO WEEKS!

It's funny, I told some other online friends about the DC stars commenting my DD on Facebook and myspace and there was NO reaction! LOL They just don't understand how COOL it is! LOL I'm not sure they even know who Alyson Stoner is or Selena Gomez and they have kids the same ages as mine (it's a parenting board). Thank goodness for this board so I can tell my stories to people who understand!
