Disney Channel Games 2008???

O & L's Mom

Another question. How many tickets are you proposing to be sold? I guess what I am thinking is that a higher price would be charged if there were fewer tickets available vs. a ton of tickets that would drive the willingness to pay premium prices down. Like supply and demand?

that is not true why they don't have a fan fest it is not because they would have to pay the stars the disney stars are here any way for the games. it is not like they have to fly them in just for a fan fest they are there for the games they do work for disney these games are just part of what they do for the disney channel. the games brings them out more to the fans it trys to show another side of them. disney gives a lot to charities they don't need our help like i said before the best way is to do it just like they do the concert by emailing passholders and seaon ticket holder first give them up to 10 tickets or wrist bands then open it to the public with 10 tickets or wrist bands and you will have no one chasing the disney stars around.
money is tough right now with gas prices and food and everything else going up. passholders spend a lot of money at the parks a long with everyone else so i donot think a free fan fest would hurt disney to give to us once a year .
Remember this,if disney does not keep the fans happy they donot come back we the fans make disney stars, disney channel and the park what they are.

Also I wouldn't want it to be a wristband free thing, because that already exists with the concert and the days the stars are participating in the games with the crazy fans who are pushing and mangling others to get to the railing for a couple of seconds with the stars. I also think that it, a paid fan fest, would lessen the number of people that show up for the "free" days, so those who were unable to pay would benefit as well.

And to say that Disney doesn't need to be helped with charities, maybe not, but if you can do something that would be a benefit to a charity, why wouldn't you do it, especially at a time when charities are also seeing a decline in donations due to the economy?

I STILL think that,at some point, there was a Fan Fest planned for DCG 2008.There were just too many mentions of it from different places for it not to have at least have been in the planning stages.I think that for some reason the planned Fan Fest was transitioned into the DHS Disney Channel Motorcade. If we knew the reason Disney didn't move forward with the Fan Fest this year, that would answer A LOT of questions about the possibility of one next year.lxh11,are you still with us to answer this question?LOL;) :)

i agree... i have a feeling disney was planning a fanfest all along.
i think some/most of us should write disney about this...
like pitch ideas... and say how many people want this!
:)

i would think not a lot of tickets would be sold.... like not thousands of people... maybe several hundred?
thats what i would do!

I'm sure with the actors unions they would have to be paid.

The whole reason they have not had a fanfest up to now is that they CAN'T charge for these events unless they pay the stars... and with that many involved they can't charge enough to warrant it and come out ahead... that si why I am suggesting it as a CHARITY money maker... 100% going to the CHARITIES.....

hmmm maybe like 1-5 percent goes to the stars then.....
i don't know... someone would have to contact disney for atleast a little details

:cool2:

The first reason why there was so much craziness at the Dc games taping with the fans was because alot of the kids were just dropped off my there parents and left unsupervised all day long. Then you had all the teen girls who had no respect at all for the little kids. They were pushing them and getting in front of them .

Here is the answer to the fanfest issue. I have ran many autograhs session or (fanfest), with WWE wrestling stars . Here is how it should be done. The fanfest should be held at the WWOS in the milk house stadium . There should be no fee to get into the milk house because parents will be coming in with there kids and they should not have to pay becauses the parents are not the ones wanting the pics and autograhs from the DC stars .What you do is sell in advacne wrist bands for $25.00 to meet the stars for pics or autograhs or both . It is not per star just for the day of the event . The event should start in the morning and held on a none taping dayof the DC games and last untill 7pm. A schedule of when the stars will be there should be given out , starting every 2- hours different stars will be coming in for pics and autograhs lasting untill 7pm.this will give all the kids enough time to see there favorite stars and be able to get the pics ect. During this event . And the $25.00 will go the charities .But the $25wrist band will be a one time fee for the day not per star.

I REALLY LIKE THAT IDEA!!!

you should deffinatly send it to disney!

oh.. and like maybe they could have like the photopass card... and if you buy pictures from there, that money could go to the charity also!

I spoke directly to several people in the upper ranks, they WOULD have to pay them if they charged for the event BUT if it's a donation to charity, they would not... their requirements to Disney do not include meeting and greeting which is why some of them choose not to do it in those crazy crowds at DCG

Goofy I'll send you my letter once it's done. A simple $25 donation will not eliminate the crowds and will not generate enough money for the time that could be allowed to warrant holding it. I think we will have to be in that higher price range to keep the number of tickets down. Think about this... if Miley is only there for say 2 hours and you are selling tickets for $25... imagine the crowd waiting and there is NO way to get them all through in that amount of time... so what does she do - walk away from the child next in line? One thing I would also like to stress is anyone sending their ideas to Disney, make sure you use spell check and grammer check... they'll take it more seriously... and make sure you are sending it to the right place... general letters to Disney will just end up in Mickey's file 13... I'll post my letter and who to send to once it's done...

Goofy, I also love the photopass idea... I'm sure that would generate a LOT of income for them because we know they get great shots!

I think that is because the stars are willing to "donate" their time when there is a charity involved. If it's a charity, they are probably not paid or required to do it but are "encouraged" to do it.

if MILEY WAS THERE FOR 2 HOURS and the time was up the crowd of fans would just have to come back at a another time to see her that is why you would have to have a list of times when the stars would be there. Why would you what to keep the crowd number down the more there is the more money would be made. and you could keep the price down. That is why it would have to be a all day event. I have done fan fest were 5000 fans have come to meet the wwe stars and had no promblems they came at the times that were on the list of times to meet the stars when time ran out they just went over to a another star and then came back later to see the star they didnot see the first time. It is not that hard to do.

thanks for planning on sending the letter to me!
:)

i think the wristbands/tickets should be sold for around $50 each... and the photopass would be regular price.
I love the idea of an ORGANIZED list of what celebrities would be there.
maybe they could count the people in line and stop at a certain number so instead of waiting in line for a long time and then having the celebrity leave, they could go to another celebrities line and come back earlier for the celeb they wanted to meet!
:)

ahh i am getting so excited!

does anyone have an address for disney?

Why bother having it at all at that rate ($25 a head) just go to the DCG and chase them down for free. What I'm looking for is an event where my kids don't have to "maybe" make it into the line to "maybe" get to see them but an event that has lower numbers, smaller crowds and a guarantee that it was worth the trip to see someone instead of the hope that they made it far enough up in the line to get their minute... I am sure that no matter the price, people will pay it as several here have stated. The more exclusive the more they can charge.

I know lots of people would pay tons of money if disney told them they had to if they wanted to get in! It needs to be very exclusive!
:)
i would fly out from arizona and wait in line ALL DAY to meet my favorite stars!
