Disney Channel Games 2008???

Ok so new info! The games are still tentave and may change at anytime and the green standing field may not be open like last year?

Jonas Brothers are confirmed for games.

Popstar! magazine just posted this, after they had gotten off the phone with the boys:

" They will each be on separate teams for the DC Games. Brotherly battles!"

Wow, that should be something.

Haha, my daughter is rooting for Nick's team.

Now to find out their team colors so you (and my DDs) can dress appropriately!
I'll be there Monday afternoon, so I will report anything I see or hear.

Just read some GREAT news on the Popstar! Myspace. The Jonas Brothers confirmed they'll be at the games, and each brother will be on a different team!

YAY GO KEVIN!

Thanks TSL.

Is there something more about "tentative" that we should know other than "Disney Channel Games is a taped broadcast and subject to change at any time"?

Is the "green standing field" the lawn on the 3rd base side and the outfield?

Haha, you better give us all the gossip! I hope they announce teams/colors before the actual games, because last year I didn't know teams, so I just made signs for the teams that I liked the previous year, which was definitely not the team I liked that year. First year I was a green team fan. Last year I liked Yellow, but I did like Lucas on green team! lol.

Your daughter and my best friend will be in matching colors. It'll be a battle of the best dressed! lol.

I've heard soft openings for Toy Story starting on April 25th from here on the disboards. Not sure who that includes...all public, just passholders, ect.
Thanks!:) I think some of the Cast Members from Who Wants To Be A Millionaire-Play It!(Toy Story Mania's predecessor) still work at DHS.Hopefully I will see one of them and they might have some information.:)

I agree-they are SERIOUS about Backstage!Last year at the DCG they just asked people to not take pictures and that was pretty much it from what I saw.Oh WOW! I LOVE the Candlelight Processional! It is really fun to do with the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package.:)What is the experience like from a participant's view?:)
Oh good because I'm planning on sneaking in a camera (just pretend you didn't hear that :))

Yeah I heard it was good to do with the package! anytime i have actually gone to see the processional i end up wayyy in the back :P.

It is an AMAZING experience from a participants point of view. The people there are so great! last year for the christmas eve concert, the disney cast in charge of aligning us, keeping an eye on everyone, etc. did a little show for us backstage and it was so funny and great! i loved it those ppl are amazing. And of course being up there is indescribable. The narration can be so powerful , esp. when it comes from really good narrators like my favorit Gary Sinise ( even though Jim Caviesel was really good too) I have the whole thing memorized (Lol) but the last few parts are so powerful. And also just being up there with everyone and feeling that energy to really get into it an sing your heart out is so WOW:goodvibes ! and i love looking into the crowd, searching for i dont know who..hehe. ppl might think you can't see anyone from up there and with all the lights, but you really can see very well! Maybe I'll see you this year! :D

okay so today i have so much work to do but i am gonna work extra hard to get information out of my friend. I'm gonna start asking very straightforward questions! :cool1:

Are you refering to me?

Haha, well actually we aren't going to the taping of the games, only the concert. She is so cute, trying to pick out her whole outfit for the concert based on what the "Jonas Brothers" like according to interviews. Apparently they like it when girls "dress up" for their concerts, whatever that means.

We had no trouble bringing in anything last year - blankets, snacks, toys and games... NO problem bringing in that "artist tool" that ummm captures images either LOL

Anyone who went last year... I'm 18 and love this disney channel stuff... I have field tickets and was wondering what is a good real time to get to the concert to have a good view because my 21 year old brother is going with me and not into the stuff as much as I am so I need a reasonable time to give him...thats not so ridiculously early... THANK SOOOOO MUCH!!!!

remember last year it was only four days of taping
EXACTLY!:)That is what is REALLY confusing! If Disney does not or did not at some point have plans for Wednesday and/or Friday why would they not run the Games Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday,Friday and be done like last year. What would be the point in tying up the production crew, equipment, etc. for two days without anything happening? And also the extra expense? My best GUESS is that there HAS to be something happening Wednesday and/or Friday. It doesn't make sense otherwise.:)

Wednesday is back-ups and other minor things.. Im guessing opening cerimonies..but its not open to public!

Do you think that Friday may be a back-up day in case of foul weather? And also someone mentioned that school would have to be accounted for with having to put in a certain amount of time each day. I think that would be like any other production where the actors have to do school work it in between the time they are in front of the cameras. Just my thoughts.

I KNOW!! This was supposed to be the "relaxing" Disney vacation, since we were just there not too long ago. Well DCG has thrown that idea out of the window... at least I had plenty of flex time planned... :)
What is this""relaxing" Disney vacation" that you refer to?;) :)I am not familiar with that term!LOL:)

I totally agree! Here's a thought. Could Friday be a back-up filming day? For bad weather, if something doesn't get filmed, etc...? And, if Wednesday is filming with mainly non-Disney stars... then that could still leave it open for our "unexplained, possibly not even happening" fan day?

This one is for you....from hal....So no WEDWDW you do not need to goto the store at the hotels!! lol..:)

hal can you find out if the concession at the stadium will be open. Thanks

HAL'S NOTE: Yes, of course, it will be open.
AWESOME!Thanks! With that information confirmed,I am going to assume that the Champion Stadium merchandise shop will also be open.It seems like more and more each day that DCG 2008 is going to be VERY MUCH like DCG 2007 despite the AVALANCHE of negative rumors in the early "days".:)

Don't have anything new either... I have a few emails in to fansite people, but don't really expect any news. I'm actually kinda enjoying the break! :) Keeping up with all those posts was sort of stressful... :) I don't want to waste park time trying to figure out DC Games stuff once we get there... but now that we have scheduling info and we know team (and maybe fan day) info is on it's way ... I vote we all just take a seat back and relax!! :)
You are "enjoying the break"!That is SO funnny!(but true!):)
