Disney Channel Games 2008???

imagine picking up your tickets at 4pm on the 30th and finding out that you missed the fanfest by 4 hours.....oooohhh mmmaaaannnn.

This is my first post on this board... Just wanted to say thank you for all of the great info. Been reading the board for two weeks trying to get some info on thd dsgames. just so happens we will be in town for the all-star cheer and dance world championships on april 26 and 27. We will be in town till Wed. so you can imagine the excitement from my 7 year old when I told her they were filming the dc games. She loves all of the disney channel stars, especially miley cyrus and the hannah cast, sweet life, etc. Looking forward to seeing at least a few stars...

i've been lurking on the boards as well, but now have decided to post.

I attended the games last year, and met a few stars. My three friends and I ran into the Jonas Brothers randomly on a game taping day, and they were only supposed to be there for the concert. (it goes to show you that you NEVER know who you'll run into!)

The stars usually came over and signed stuff for us. Also, if you had field tickets, they leave a gap in between the stage and the rest of the crowd in the field for the stars to go and watch the concert. They were all rocking out there last year.

As for cameras, I had mine with me, and took a video of when the Jonas Brothers came over to us, which you can find somewhere on youtube. The security was fine with it since it was just the four of us, but when other people saw the boys and came over, thats when they asked us to put them away. Not sure on how strict they will be this year, but i thought i'd let you know.

If you guys have any questions about last year and how things worked, I'll be happy to answer!

Your tickets must be picked up at Disney’s Wide World of Sports® Complex prior to the concert. There will be no ticket pick up available on May 3rd.

PLEASE BRING THIS LETTER WITH YOU WHEN YOU PICK UP YOUR TICKETS AS WELL AS A FORM OF I.D. SHOWING YOUR NAME

The Ticket Window will be open on the following days from 8:30am – 6:00pm daily:

Saturday, April 26th
Sunday, April 27th
Monday, April 28th
Tuesday, April 29th
Wednesday, April 30th

IF YOUR TICKETS ARE NOT PICKED UP BY APRIL 30TH, WE WILL RE-ALLOCATE THEM TO GUESTS ON OUR WAITING LIST.

It's just free for all. There are no seats on the field, you just stand there. Last year, the gates opened early, and you basically just ran into the field. And yes, if you're in the front of the gates on the field for the concert, the stars were right in front of us watching the concert. So stars like Jason Dolley (minutemen, Cory in the House) turned around and gave everyone high-fives. Jason Earles (Hannah Montana) was taking pictures with a bunch of people, as were the international stars.

WHEN YOU GET THERE IF YOU HAVE A FIELD TICKET YOU WILL GET TO GO OUT ON THE FIELD,BUT FIRST THEY SIT YOU ON THE BLEACHERS.

LAST YEAR WE GOT THERE LATE AND THEY SAT EVERONE DOWN IN ORDER THAT THAT GOT THERE SO WE WERE IN THE BACK.
WE GOT TO GO ON THE FIELD AND IT STARTED RAINING, SO WE WENT BACK TO THE BLEACHERS.
THE PEOPLE THAT WERE IN THE BACK WAS NOW IN THE FRONT, SO WHEN WE WENT BACK OUT ON THE FIELD WE WERE UP FRONT FOR THE CONCERT.

THE ORDER IS JUST DECIDED RAMDOMLY BY THE CAST AT THE TIME.

MY CHILD WAS RIGHT UP FRONT AND WAS ON TV. SEVERAL TIMES. IT IS A FREE FOR ALL ON THE FIELD.

THEY PUSH, AND TRY TO GET AS CLOSE AS THEY CAN IT'S LIKE SARDINES. THEY ARE STANDING, AND ARE NO SEATS.

BETTER GO TO THE RESTROOM BEFORE IT STARTS.

SOME OF THE PARENTS WERE ALSO ON THE FIELD WHEN CORBIN THREW HIS SHIRT OUT, THEY WERE CUSSING AND PULL IT OUT OF PEOPLE'S HANDS TO.

sounds like a disney event...fit the park into one room and now everyone go though 1 door to see the exhibit...lol.
I figured it would be that way. I took seats. I did not want my 7 year old to not be able to see over people or get squashed...Hope I made the right decision. Plus your right if she has to use the restroom we will still ahve seats...thanks for the info

Yeah this post makes me so glad I got seats! My 4 yo would have been moshed! But I knew that from taking her to see the Jonas!!

Well as for the night of the concert, The Jonas Brothers after they performed really quickly went around the gates of the field and signed a few, as did Dylan & Cole Sprouse.

For autographs though, it's best to try and go to a day of taping of the games, thats where you will have the best chance to see the stars and get autographs.

my daugther got about 30 aoutographs last year but you have to be at the right places at the right times, and somtimes go chase them down.lol

I will go along with JIMMAR's post if someone can just answer this one simple question:If Fan Fest is going to be on April 30 and only DCG Concet Ticket holders are going to be allowed and the information will be in the ticket envelopes,WOULDN'T DISNEY SCHEDULE THE LAST DAY FOR PICK-UP TO BE APRIL 29!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Found a site that said Ashley Tisdale should be participating (missashley.info)... It doesn't really look too reputable, so don't get your hopes up! Just thought I'd share with everyone... I can't imagine they'd take a week out of filming to bring in the HSM cast... but I could be wrong!

Also, at disneyhsmblog.blogspot.com, they've posted two different entries about rumored participants. One says Aly & AJ are RUMORED to be at the concert. Two of the "Life with Derek" stars are also mentioned as POSSIBLE participants...

Don't want to get any rumors going! Nothing for sure ...
