Disney Channel Games 2008???

If too many people aren't abiding by the rules of "no cameras" = they can always say "see ya!" to us. Is it worth the chance? Will it be killing me to not have my camera? Yup. But, whatcha gonna do?

so i've been keeping up with this wall just reading to find out information and stuff. For people that have been there in the past, if i met a DC star, would i be able to take a super quick picture with them ?

SO it's official Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and Alyson Stoner will be at the dc games

It won't let me put the website but if you go to youtube and then go to selena and demi's page (therealdemilovato) and watch the newest video, titled demi and selena response!! Demi says they will be there and Selena agrees.

ABSOLUTELY MAYBE!LOL It just depends on the situation.At WWoS at most "opportunity" areas there will be a rail between you and the Stars.If you are right at the rail,you can hold your camera up and turn to face it and pose with the Star on the other side of the rail.But,if you are a few people away from the rail you may can reach out and get an autograph on something,but it would be hard to get a picture from there.Does that make sense?Oh,I JUST remembered cameras are not allowed in Champion Stadium so disregard this post.

hehe. actually I sing for the Mass Disney Choir for the Candlelight Processional during the holidays and you are not allowed to have cameras or cell phones backstage and if they find you with them they take them away forever! lol and sometime they ban ppl from coming back.. but i think this is a different situation

I agree-they are SERIOUS about Backstage!Last year at the DCG they just asked people to not take pictures and that was pretty much it from what I saw.Oh WOW! I LOVE the Candlelight Processional!It is really fun to do with the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package.What is the experience like from a participant's view?

ooh maybe tlx isnt rose....I thought it was. I also spoke to another wonderful woman who was informative thorough and polite. I apologize I forgot her name. My mind was going crazy with info and I was trying to get it all out. If it is this woman she said that a fanfest is a possibility but it had to do with time because minors can only work so many hours...I dont recall exacts. So my conclusion is if this women is tlx she is also very much in the know....

I think you may be on to something!Maybe they have to wait and see how the taping is going and how many hours the minors are going to have to work before they know if there will be enough "hours" left for a Fan Fest. That would explain the "at this time" qualifier.It is just a thought.Miley looked great as always,but I think she forgot some words toward the end of "Get Ready,Get Set,Don't Go",but I could be wrong.

So someone who went to the DC games concert last year how early do u have to get there to get the cloest view becasue Im 18 and love this kind of stuff, but the people going with me are my 21 year old brother and a few of his friends so I need to know how early I have to convince him to get there

Gee wiz! I go away for 4 days to the "World" and come back to over 20 pages to catch up on. There are some serious sleuths on this thread!! My 2 DD's are so EXCITED about the DCG this year. However, my youngest DD has been sick and in the hospital twice in a month so she will not get to do the concert but we will try to get her out there to spot some stars or maybe if there is one go to the "Fan Fest".

Thanks to ALL of you out there digging and getting all the GREAT news. Just think in another couple of days we might know the details of the games and the Fan Fest.

I've heard soft openings for Toy Story starting on April 25th from here on the disboards. Not sure who that includes...all public, just passholders, ect.

Well I 'm a lurker, have been for nearly a year. Seem to have trouble logging in and remembering my password.

Any hoo, I have been waiting for info about the games seem last spring, and have followed this thread since it began, just didn't have anything to add.

I am coming with my 5 year old, and we are making the trip just for the games. I have been very ill, so I will be conserving my energy, and I am very glad that I went with staduim seats.

If there is any info about the fanfest, I would REALLY like to know. My child has special needs, and it is really helpful to be able to plan some. I sure hope there is some chance for fan interaction, or this will be one expensive concert.

I need to figure out if I can pm yet, but I sure would appreciate any info if anyone wants to share.

I have only been skimming this post for the past 2-3 months and i don't know if anyone has said it, so apoligies if i am repeating anyone. But as you have properly guessed the Jonas Brothers are DEFINITELY taking part in the games itself. Comes from a very realiable source =]

I just want to say thankyou for all the info from this thread, it has been a nice read haha! Sadly me and my friend are going back to London the night before Concert. But we will def try and see a recording of the games. =]

In case you missed it, Sentinel TV critic Hal Boedeker has the latest on the taping of the 2008 Disney Channel Games at Disney's Wide World of Sports this month. Click on his blog here for details.

Unlike last year, the filming will not include audience shots, so no tickets are being distributed. However, visitors are permitted inside Champion Stadium from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 28, April 29 and May 1 without a charge. Officials warn there will be a lot of "down time" for production purposes.

You do have to have a ticket to attend the May 3 concert featuring The Cheetah Girls and The Jonas Brothers, and no more requests are being accepted. If you haven't received a reply to your email, you have been placed on a waiting list. Those who did receive an email confirmation must pick up their actual tickets according to the directions on the email. If tickets are unclaimed, they will be distributed to those on the waiting list. Good luck!

well there could be press events and some others things going on and the kids only have so many hours a week that they can do their schoolwork. I think they have too do at least four hours a day or at least a total of at least 20 hours a week and it's the law that they can only work so many hours.

Hi!Welcome!Isn't this FUN! I think ,at this point,the best thing to do is not to COUNT on a Fan Fest,just in case it does not happen. Although there are A LOT of indicators pointing to a Fan Fest and there has not been a DEFINITE "no go" from Disney,quite frankly,at this point,we just don't know. Keep checking here and IF a Fan Fest is announced,you will hear here QUICKLY!LOL

I agree.I am beginning to think more and more that Fan Fest may be dependent on how many hours the tapings last and if enough hours are "left" for Fan Fest.That makes a lot of sense-it is as good a guess as anything,at this point!
