Disney Channel Games 2008???

I think the issue was just that it became a LONG thread and the ones on Welcome are just short threads about topics touiched on and then ended while this one took on a life of it's own with 38 pages and no new people contributing. Nothing bad, just moved to another location is all.

Just once a thread becomes a long term post or a post that is more community than just a welcome thread we move it to the CB

MMLong, don't panic hun. Just go to the User CP at the top, click on suscribed threads and everything you have posted to will show up. Evidently you found it because you posted here. I think there is just no new news yet so no new posts. There is also a thread titled Disney Channel Games will be great in 2008 but not much activity there either.

The lady from PA, there is a plan in place to assist people in the same position as yourself. There is absolutely no reason to have to fly in to pick them up.

Hey all, I was the one who posted the Fan Day information. I called radio disney in Orlando and spoke with a girl who is the dc games contact. Can't remember her name, sorry. She is the one who said that Fan Day would be on April 30th, from 10-1 at Disney Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM). Has anyone ever been to the first day opening ceremonies? Was thinking of taking my daughter that day if it is worth it or should I wait and go later in the week for a better chance of her seeing "the stars of disney channel?"

To the person who asked about Opening Ceremonies... don't bother... there wasn't really any LOL. Last year they filmed the Opening and Closing back to back on the last day right befiore the concert and quite frankly from our vantage point (and we were ON the field) it was boring...

Thanks for the info concerning Fan Day.Your info coupled with the announcement on LaughingPlace on March 6 confirmed,at least to me,that there will be a Fan Day.Did the Radio Disney DCG contact you spoke with give you any more information such as the list of participating Stars,etc.?The opening ceremony will not necessarily take place on the first day of taping.IIRC BOTH the opening and closing ceremomnies were taped on the SAME day last year.LAST YEAR there were only 3 days of taping,then one day for the DCG Concert taping(I THINK that also may have been the day they also taped the opening and closing ceremomnies-taping began at 3:00 that day instead of 7:00 this year).Interaction opportunities with the DCG Stars were about the same each day.If they are taping games when you are there you WILL see some DCG Stars.Now,getting autographs is another story-last year it was all about PATIENCE AND PERSISTENCE!I still am not sure what will happen on Monday because last year there were only three days of tapings-Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday and the DCG Concert on Friday.The Fan Day could explain what one of the "extra" days will be used for but that still leaves one "extra" day as compared to last year's schedule.Since the DCG Concert does not begin taping until 7:00 instead of 3:00,I suppose the other "extra" day could be for the taping of the opening/closing ceremonies.HOPEFULLY lxh11 will come back and fill in some gaps for us. I may end up being COMPLETELY wrong,but I think lxh11 is REALLY "in the know"!

It has NOT been confirmed by Disney,but LaughingPlace announced a FanFest would take place on April 30 back on March 6.MOM2KDM called Radio Disney who ALSO said there would be a Fan Day on April 30.Radio Disney's information was too detailed for me not to believe there will be a Fan Day on April 30,but UNTIL it is confirmed by Disney there is no way to be one-hundred per-cent sure. But,sometimes "unofficial" information can be VERY accurate-Hal Boedeker announced the dates for the DCG as April 28-May 3 way back in early January.The dates were not confirmed by Disney until very recently.

I went online to Radiodisney.com and went to the contact page, called the local Orlando station and told them I had a quick question about the games, they transferred me to a girl, sorry can't remember her name. She was very evasive about details, saying that they would be announced but said that the "fan day" was in fact scheduled on April 30th at DHS from 10-1, but that is all she could (or would) confirm.

I am still trying to determine the best day during the week to take my daughter to the games, since I will have to take her out of school I was hoping to make it a worthwhile trip. Also, we have stadium seats for the concert, has anyone had them before and is that good? I have heard that the field gets really crazy and it is standing room but I want her to see the concert so am hoping it works for her (she is only 8) oooh the mental pressure we moms go thru !!!!!:

hi i am so mad i missed out on getting tickets this year, i myself am the big disnye channel fan, i was trying to find out when they were coming ot and never could, believe it or not i even work in disney and still heard nothing! i promised 4 of my friends' sisters i would work some magic but so far no luck. i dont wnat anyone to go out of their way but there are 6 of us, any amount would be amazing, if anyone over asked for tix and realize they wont need them i can them up at will call or so the day of teh show, or if anyone has any ideas, i mean i guess we can sit in the parking lot and listen but we'd really appreciate going!
