I think I also read it starts the 27th? Yup it does... I wonder if that is legit?

I think that date probably refers to the beginning of production work such as setting up equipment at WWoS,etc. and not the actual date taping will start.

I think the crowds may be bigger than last year. Even if Florida schools are in session, look how many of us are skipping anyways. I know a lot of people who will skip just because Jonas Brothers are "speculated" to participate!

But with all the international stars they're bringing in, maybe there won't be too many american stars? I mean 8 other countries? If more than three come from each country, that's like the whole entire population of stars that has been in past DCGames.

Can't wait to sit outside for 10 hours! That's going to be so fun!

These four have confirmed they'll be at the games...

Selena Gomez (of Wizards of Waverly Place)
Demi Lovato (of As The Bell Rings and Camp Rock)
Anna Maria Perez de Tagle (of Hannah Montana and Camp Rock)

Also, unfortunately, Mitchel Musso won't be in the games this year. It's because of his tour with Raven, though, not Hannah Montana filming. So hopefully some of the HM cast will show up!

Just a heads up - Radio Disney has been broadcasting that the Jonas Brothers are not only there for the concert, but are participating in the games. The last grand prize they gave away was a trip to the DCGames to hang w/the JoBros. While this might potentially bode ill for crowds, I think it might still be small because I haven't seen any info *fingers crossed that it stays that way* about their participation on any of the fan club boards and they haven't posted it on their myspace. So - the more rabid (read older and can skip school to hang out) fans don't seem to have caught on yet for the most part. Let's hope we can keep this on the DL for another couple of weeks!!

Yes, everything has been kept hush hush. Like Disney, everything is kept quiet but the put on a top notch performance. I am still looking around and found some sites. Maybe just rumors but I will post them here anyway. Remember it is all rumor until we get it officially from disney.

The casting notice does not show that they are doing any taping of the games on the 30th - at least the type of taping that would require a stunt/safety coordinator. More hints about a fan day??

Forty years from now, are my kids going to remember what they learned at school on April 30, 2008? Probably not. Rarely is there a concept that is only introduced once - it's likely to be repeated multiple times over the course of their school years. Will they remember that Mom had enough of a sense of adventure to take them someplace cool for a day? Yeah, they will. I don't take school frivolously, but every now and then it's fun to play hooky - even for the teachers. Learning can take place outside a classroom.

I found it interesting myself. Still searching, nothing new. I am bringing my daughter from school too. She is A honor roll and this is her communion gift. She still does not know. Yes,I noticed that too-Wednesday and Saturday. I think that is EXACTLY what it means-Fan Day on Wednesday,DCG Concert on Saturday.The link also confirms the taping days as Monday,Tuesday,Thursday and Friday.GREAT information joed911!

IIRC,last year there was only 1 Disney Channel Star from each country,so I think there will be PLENTY of room for the American Stars. I am still going to stick to my opinion that the crowds are going to be about the same as last year.There were BIG stars there last year also-it does not get much bigger than Miley Cyrus. I think the per-centage of Florida students who will "skip" school will be VERY low and the ones who do will probably only "skip" one day and will not be there EVERY day therefore the crowds will be dispersed among the different days.Of course I may be proven wrong!LOLETA-I checked the participant list from last year and some countries had 2 Stars and some had 1 Star.

I LOVE your positive attitude about this year's DCG!I feel the same way!Because we were there last year,I think we have the same opinion-if Champion Stadium is open,no matter what stage is here or there,etc.,etc.,it is going to be FUN!
