Disney Channel Games 2008???

Oh well,I TRIED to say Goodbye to this thread,but it won't say Goodbye to me!It keeps pulling me back!LOLThis thread is just too much FUN to leave!Disney Channel Games Week has become my favorite week of the year to be at Walt Disney World.This may sound a little silly,but it makes me a little sad to come to this thread because it reminds me that DCG 2008 is OVER,so I guess I will just have to deal with a little sadness.LOLI would like to know if you think Camp Rock has a chance to be as big as High School Musical.Demi,Alyson and Meaghan were SO nice to us at DCG 2008,so I want Camp Rock to be HUGE! They deserve the success! Also,do you think J.O.N.A.S. will be a SMASH hit?I am also hoping it will be HUGE because Chelsea was also AMAZINGLY nice to us at DCG 2008 and this could be really BIG for her career. There is a good article about DCG 2008 over at Mouseplanet.The author names the DCG 2008 Star who everyone thought was the "fan-friendliest" Star and I will give you one guess as to who it is.

since its Disney both of those will probably be huge, and the fact that the Jonas Brothers are in both will help the ratings too.

Both Camp Rock AND J.O.N.A.S. are going to be HUGE! Just because of the Jonas factor.

I am a big Jonas fan, but that's not the only reason I'll be watching. I'll be watching Camp Rock because I love Alyson Stoner, as well, and so far the music and story line sound good.

J.O.N.A.S. I just want to see if Disney Channel can pull off a decent spy show. Haha.

It was such fun to open my People magazine today and see that picture of Miley on stage and know that I was there when it was taken. I bet more and more DC Games photos will be appearing in magazines and on the internet in the months to come.

I can't wait to see the actual show. I hope Disney realizes that letting the public in to watch the Games actually increases our interest in watching them on TV.

The taping of the Christmas parade is done on the first weekend in dec
jonas brothers were there last year. Passholder have to email disney when they have the email on the passholder site in november . they tape at the castel on friday then the parade on saturday with regis and kelly there are stars on friday and saturday from disney channle and abc

are Florida Resident Seasonal Passes included or is it only for *true* Annual passes? I've always bought the Seasonal Pass because who can stand the idea of Disney in the summer or during Christmas week? Last time, we bought one Annual Pass for me just for the free parking and seasonal passes for DH and the kids.

Yeah,I agree the article was a little too much on the negative side,but the tribute to Alyson made up for a lot of the negative spin! I told Alyson last week that just about EVERYBODY had decided she was the friendliest DCG2008 Star and she was so thankful and humble about it. It reads like the author may be a DCG "newbie" and may not be an actual writer.Again,I think the AS tribute made up for the areas in which the article is lacking.

And anyone who doesn't know the Cheatahs by sight has no biz writing about them LOL As for Alyson, in my Wednesday report I did touch on this and my conversation with her mom about her attitude and kindness to the kids. Last year Jason Dolley was by far the fan fav for exactly the same reason and this year it's Alyson. The twins were horrid for the most part and it was so sad to see the kids adoration turn to disgust when they would walk by and ignore them or as happened at the concert they'd walk by and stick out their tongues and keep walking... Alyson and Jason understood a major factor... they only get those fat paychecks because my kids and many like them WATCH their shows... if the kids don't like them, I don't buy their branded items and they end up with Emmanuel Lewis and Danny Bonnaduce (sorry for that spelling butcher job) on reality TV... Miley didn't come over to the kids on the back lot but she did stop and acknowledge them and wave and smile and say hi... that speaks volumes when you are 8... and then you bug your mommy or daddy to buy t-shirts and CDs and tennis shoes etc...

I wasn't there at the time, she had ridden over with friends, but she told me his bodyguards/handlers were trying to get him to go to lunch and he said he needed to finish with his fans before he did. They said to him "do we have to physically remove you from this dug-out??" and he said "let me just finish with these girls". So, he wasn't *all* bad. LOL

I completely agree. Our experience with him on Tues. late afternoon and Thurs. were both incredible. And on Thurs. when he was on the dug-out, he was the only one from the green team (or any team) signing. Two teams were in competition, so obviously no stars out. But the other team not competing did not have any stars signing or working the crowd either. Dylan was out between 30 and 45 minutes in the hot sun at lunchtime. (Some where I saw a post saying 36 minutes.) So if he had a bad attitude at one time or another, he was definitely trying to make up for it on the days we were there. Wish everyone could've seen that side of him. He was very gracious and joking around with the all the kids.
