Disney Channel Games 2008???

One person I keep forgetting to mention who was also VERY nice to the kids was Michael Seater (sp??) Derek from Life with Derek... he and my daughter had a running joke about him bringing Canadian bacon from home for her... he was really nice and I did want to give him some props LOL

I've always heard great things about him from meet-and-greet sessions.

Oh my gosh!! I loved Dylan! He was so nice!!!
Mahipp-- was this on Thursday?? I was there right before he jumped on the dugout. I got a hug and a signature!!

I also spoke to Alyson Stoner, she was really sweet!! She said that she was really enjoying the games. Caroline from the UK was also really nice. I talked to her about London. Selena was really nice, too!!

Had a blast at the games... And am already looking forward to next year! Hope everybody else had an awesome time, too! We're still on our lazy trip home from Florida! So I haven't checked in at all... But I was wondering if anyone would know this. On (I believe) Thursday, they showed some pics on the big screen at the filmings... Does anyone know if those are available online somewhere? Just thought it would be something fun to look at again! Thanks!!

I'm just curious as to how far out of touch I am with reality. I was looking at AOL pictures about Kim Kardashian thinking Nick Jonas was cute and came across where Adrienne from the Cheetah girls was at a Girls Gone Wild magazine launch party.

Am I the only one that would think that Disney and GGW should be separated as far apart as possible? This makes me not want to support the Cheetah Girls by purchasing their CD's or watching their movies because I feel that it is somewhat hypocritical for someone that represents Disney to be seen at a GGW party. (Don't even get me started on VH's pictures that I chose not to look at. I have a bit of a hard time getting past that one too.) I don't think that my DD's would ever see this picture, and I know that my DD9 (almost) would not understand what I am getting so upset about since she would not know what GGW is, but I am just appalled by this. I don't think I would second guess myself on this, but give me your opinions so I can see what I am up against or in tune with in the real world.

Unfortunately my DD8 SHOWED me VH's picture and we had a nice long chat after that about what was appropriate to search for online and then we moved the computer into the livingroom. I'm so disgusted right now with the Cheetah's we may just skip One World. I might as well chime in now on the Vanity Fair shoot too since I'm on my soapbox ... this is what I sent to Fox News when they reported for the 9 millionth time about those pics and the damage on her career...

As the very conservative mother of an 8 year old Miley Lover, I have to comment on this whole Vanity Fair picture issue. Contrary to what some might think, I find the fact that there is even a controversy over this rediculous. The girl and her family really make an effort to do the right thing. She is an amazing role model for young girls who does not smoke, drink, do drugs and is not having a baby at 15. She encourages kids to listen to their parents, show them love and appreciation and to stay in school and respect their teachers. So she did a photo shoot that in my opinion makes her look unkempt and unattractive... so what??? She WAS wearing clothes under that drape which included a pair of long black pants. Yes, it was a not so great choice but the hullaballoo that has been created over it is a waste of time and effort on the part of every person who so desperately wants to find fault with this very human and very squeaky teen. Leave her alone I say and let her get back to doing what she does best.

Well, to be honest, I am a little disappointed that it happened. I have Miley up on a pedestal! But I don't blame her because
1.) she is a 15 year old and
2.) being a 15 year old, you are supposed to have adults around you that make good judgement calls, i.e. , parents!

Research shows that the judgement part of the brain is not fully operating until past the age of 25.

I seriously don't know if she was manipulated after her parents left the shoot or what, but I feel if blame should be placed, it should be on them. Because either they left her to be manipulated, or they were there and let it happen.

As far as any pictures that are in poor taste that are leaked, I am still wondering at what point does a person say to themselves, "Hhhmmm, I think taking a provocative picture of myself that might show up anywhere is a great idea! I mean it will make my mom and dad proud!" (That was sarcasm if it's not apparent!) I mean since they don't think in that way at all, being judgement disabled, we have got to let our kids know that it's not OK to use your cell phone, video camera, web cam or whatever to take and send these pictures when you are not of an age to be making life changing decisions!

Sorry for the vent! But thanks for the insight!

Wow,I just hate to hear about Adrienne and Robert attending the GGW event.That is so sad that they would support that.I hope it was just a temporary lapse in judgment because both of them were SO nice at DCG 2008.Robert and the 2 girls were so nice to us everytime we saw them.Adrienne was just as nice.We saw her one time just after she had spent 8 hours in a dance studio rehearsing and she didn't want pictures taken because she wanted to clean up first,but she signed autographs and was so friendly even though she was tired.I also have to say that I did not run into the Cheetahs much,but when I did all three of them could not have been any nicer.

I would really appreciate it if one of our posters or one of our lurkers would give a report on what it was like to watch the DCG 2008 Stars walk into World ShowPlace for the DCG 2008 All-Star Party.I wanted to go so bad,but decided to go ahead and go to Mickey's Pirate and Princess Party.Were there any autograph or photo opportunities as they walked by?Thanks.

I went to that! I was like 3 or 4 people back. Most of the stars stoped to give autographs and take pictures. I think Dylan and Cole and the Cheetah Girls were the only ones that didn't stop. I have a video of the Jonas Brothers walking to the red carpet on youtube. My post count is to low to post the link but if you go to youtube and search for megamoneybear it should come up. I also have a video of the DC Games parade.
