Disney changing rules on resale purchases?

I was under the impression when we purchased that DVD had LOTS of rights. Including selling the resort so you could only book there....so I don't really believe anything is guaranteed. Well not anything....you are guaranteed that you can book at your home resort for the length of the contract. But I thought that was about it for water tight guarantees

Yes, DVD has the right to remove any resort from the "club" and then one would be restricted to their home resort. However, if this was done, then the resort is out, and regardless of whether someone bought points resale or direct, they would be out too. Not something that could be restricted to just resale buyers.

There are only certain situations where they can do this though and they are fairly restrictive.

I think you are also guaranteed at least a one-month home resort booking advantage as long as your home resort is a member of the "Club."
