If you paid for your deposit on your DC, you are certainly entitled to the $50 credit. My girlfriend originally paid her deposit with another credit card through DU and once she received her DC, she called them. They were able to switch her deposit to her DC card and apply the credit.
I'm definatly going to call back! The woman told me that Allseastravel buys cabins at a group rate and that Disney / Bank One would not offer the discount to me.
All Seas told us no when we used our Disney CC for our cruise. It has something to do with the fact that they buy blocks of rooms so that you are able to get a lower price. If we had booked through DU we would have been able to get the credit, but we still came out much cheaper using All Seas.
If we book onboard and use our DC visa can we get the 10% and $200 stateroom credit plus the $50 credit? Or is this offer only available when you book through a TA or is it one offer only? Sorry for all the ?'s
Could you please give more information about the $50 credit with the Disney CC? I received my Disney CC last week, but don't know anything about the credit. We have a cruise planned for next February and we are using DU for our reservations. I am hoping we can get the credit! Any extra dollars toward our cruise will help!
I already booked through a TA in March to get a $50 credit but April 1 they changed it to $100 a cabin. Will they change that or am I going to just be happy with the $50. Anyone know?
we booked two rooms with the disney cc with du how do you know if you got the credit or not? will you find out when you board? Also, we are traveling with my parents and they booked both rooms, but I paid them in cash since they already had the card does the $50 credit go on each room key or will they get a $100 credit when they board? O.K. now one more question... since we booked together can we put seperate credit cards on our own room key or will our room keys be linked. The rooms shouldn't be in my moms name I wouldn't think anyway
Discounts cannot be combined, so if you are booked into a discounted group cabin shipboard credits cannot be added.
In addition if you have a shipboard credit already for booking onboard you cannot get an additional shipboard credit from Disney Visa. It's an either/or thing.
I booked our cruise in February of 2003 for July of 2004. I used American Express because they used to have the shipboard credit offers with Disney--$$$250!!! if you paid with American Express. Disney stopped offering that with AE.
I now have the Disney CC. I called Disney they gave my AE card credit for the original deposit and charged the deposit to my new Disney CC. I booked our room plus my brothers room with my card. I will get the credit of $50 on our room, however, my brother does not get credit since he is not a cardholder. They were specific when Disney explained this to me. Each room booked has to have an occupant that has the Disney CC in order to get that $50 credit. I do not get $100 credit no matter if I pay for both rooms or not.
I don't understand why travel agents can't give you that credit. I am a travel agent and that shipboard credit does not effect me nor my commisssions in any way no matter the price you get from me. The credit is applied to your room when you board the ship.

As I posted above, if the travel agent is holding a discounted block of rooms the shipboard credit cannot be applied to the reservation. This is Disney's policy, and they do specify with these offers that discounts cannot be combined.
If you are not booked into a discounted group space room then the shipboard offer can be applied. That is the difference.
