Disney Catalog Furniture

Has anyone ordered furniture from the Disney Catalog? I really like the Mickey armoire in the new Disney at Home furniture line, but have no idea what the quality would be. With the price and the shipping cost, it would be a disaster if the quality turns out to be so-so.

Anyone have any first-hand experience?

I have the white Mickey In the Morning headboard from a couple of years ago. I think the quality is pretty good - not Ethan Allen, but decent.

About a year ago we turned our guest room into a Mickey room. We bought the black headboard with little mickey head cutouts and matching bed tables. I think the quality if fairly decent. I've been thinking about adding the desk set to the room, but its fairly pricey. I bought the bedroom furniture when it was marked down pretty low.

I saw that TV amior in the Disney Catolog yesterday. I showed my DH how cool it was, and he says "Are you crazy?"

That would be such a neat family room set! Wish I could afford it. I am sure the quality is pretty good for that price.

Jennifer -- Your DH's reaction is what I expected from mine. Instead, he said, that would look nice if we re-did our FR with a leather couch. Saturday we ordered a leather couch, 2 chairs & an ottoman. I blame that very cute Mickey.

Fortunately, I just got a 20% off coupon for Disney catalog that works on that piece. Now I am just stalling to see if common sense prevails!

Sounds nice! You should get the stylish Mickey pillows to go with the set.
They would look great on the leather.

Wow lucky you, my DH said I could have the armoire(sp?) or the trip to Disney in Dec. Guess which one I chose.

We have the black Mickey Headboard and matching side tables too. The tables came flat - assemble yourself. The quality is fine - no problems so far.

We are seriously considering getting the armoire, but definately getting the coffee table and probably the rug. We are doing our currently empty den in a Classic Disney/Disneyland theme - and this stuff will fit in perfectly!!!

The armoire comes fully assembled. They deliver it right into your house assembled and placed where you want it. I think they call it the silver glove delivery or something like that. It costs $150, but I don't think they give you a choice about that option.

I am so weak! Don't think I can resist. . . . where is that rushing to place that order smilie?

I have the desk/chair entire set. I ordered it last year in the creamy white color. It is nice quality and came assembled. We only had to put the desk top on and thats it. the drawers were all together.

It was on sale at the time and if you bought all the accessories you got 25% off of those and then I got free shipping on everything but the desk...which was $75 freight.
I am really happy with it and would order their furniture again.
