We are staying at the all star music in august and I wanted to rent a car for a couple of days. It is at the car care center at Alamo ( thru airmiles). How do I get there? Can I take a disney bus?

They have a shuttle bus and you just need to call them for a pick up. We usually use the Alamo at the Dolphin and just walk there from Epcot or Hollywood Studios. Might be another option for you.

We have used them, they will send a shuttle bus to pick you up, and when you return car they will take you back to your resort, or even a park if you want.
Shuttle was very prompt picking us up. Your Resort Concierege should have the phone #.

that is good to know that there is a shuttle... got a 1 day rental for a day trip to Kennedy Space Centre....

What are the prices like compared to renting a car off Disney. This December we are taking our first trip. While we are down there the kids want to go to seaworld. I was told that Disney can be quite pricey.

I have rented multiple times at Disney..either the car care centre or the Dolphin. Call a day before..and have paid between $30-$40 for 24 hrs. You can return later or keep till the next morning, whatever suits.

Using codes from there we have rented for under $20, all in, for the day from Alamo at Buena Vista Palace which is right across the street from the first DTD bus stop.

I am paying just over $200 for the week from the airport for our short notice trip next week. (It was going to be half of that to rent for two days onsite, the convenience seemed worth extra cost. - Using National Emerald Aisle so hoping for a convertible since it is just the two of us.) We got a Buick for 11 days just before last Christmas for $250 from the airport.

Had major issues with the shuttle..we had called to book it & could not get thru..not at all..it just rang.
We went down to the desk at POFQ to see if maybe they had a different number we could try..they didn't..but tried calling for us..same issue..they then started to contact them thru other Almao numbers to no avail..this was taking forever and we needed our car to get us where we were going on time.
The CM at POFQ felt terrible that we could not get the shuttle..she called someone and along came a lady & a van and she personally drove us over to the Car Care Center! (Turns out her brother was living in wpg..small world!)
So..my advice is to try calling far in advance for that shuttle!!!
