Disney Calendar Help

Can any of you help and internet challenged person figure out how to use the calendars on the disney web site? Do you have to check park by park, or is there some place that all the information for parades and fireworks and park hours for each day is located? Also, when it says "extra magic hour," I assume that's in addition to the hours posted -- like if it says 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and then "extra magic hour," that means the park is either open at 9:00 or open past 8:00, right? I find the calendars very difficult to use.

The official Disney site's calendar really isn't user friendly at all.
