Disney buses question

We are staying on site (SSR) with no car - we have booked a couple ADR's at magic kingdom and animal kingdom for 8 o clock on days that the park opens at 9. Do the buses run early enough from resort to get there, not sure how long before opening they start

Yes they do. I think from 7 am might even be earlier for MK. I would go for a bus at about 7.15 to give you plenty of time for a bus to come and to get there.

If you have an 8am ADR be at the bus stop at 7am.

It will give you time as you can wait up 20-30 minutes for a bus then it's a 20 minute ride (little less for MK) and then time to walk to the restaurant. You don't wang to be rushing to get there on time.

Resorts to Parks

Bus transportation service within the Walt Disney World Resort operates from resort to parks every 15 to 30 minutes.
Service from resorts begins 45 minutes prior to park opening.
Busses run return trips to resorts until the parks are clear, typically 2 hours after park close.

Did you check to see if the park is opening early on the days you've got ADR's booked?

Thanks everyone I could only see conflicting info when looking on line to see if the buses would have started running - very confusing

We have a car for some of our holiday so I've tried to make our resort to resort ADRs and breakfasts for then. But we do have a couple where they are 8 am ADRs - I think we are going to play it by ear and find out what is happening with the buses when we get there, if not, we'll just grab a taxi from HH at OKW for those times - it isn't going to be that much and I'd rather make sure I'm there on time.

When you booked your ADRs did they mention Disney transport to you? The first CM did (the rest didn't). She was so nice! She said give yourself a min of an hour to get to ADRs, possibly even 1.5, but I am going with 1 hour! She also said said buses start 45 mins before park opens - which is what is posted above. I did question this and she said it is the standard line, it may be different at the time....

We have a back up plan if needed . If you didn't mind the cost, you could do the same from SSR I'm sure!

We've done cp breakfast at 8.05 From ssr on three separate stays. Up at 7, out for 7.15 & have always been on time. Not done ak though.

The buses start running to MK earlier at around 6.30am as Chef Mickeys opens at 7am.

Whenever we have been the buses have always been running at least an hour before park opening - at OKW you can here them coming round!

I have caught several buses on or close to 7am for breakfast ADRs from AKL, Beach Club, POR and POFQ.

We ended up getting a bus before 7.00 in September as we were walking past the bus stop exploring the resort and there was a bus there and we just jumped on it we were arrived at Magic Kingdom about 7.10 for out 8.10 reservation but it was lovely watching the sunrise and a relaxing way to start
