I can't believe I'm not sure of this because we are WDW vets and always have a car. This trip I may want to take the Disney busses more frequently and will be park hopping every day.On another post someone said they thought you had to go to a resort first and then take a bus to whichever park you were hopping to.Is this right? Yes, buses go from park to park, or from resort to Park (and park to resort). The only thing you can't do is go directly from resort to resort by bus - you would have to go to a park or the TTC to catch a bus to another resort.

Unless they changed it since 2002, the buses do not go from park to park. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

That's correct, with the addition of a couple of clarifications:

No bus service between Epcot and MK, because there's monorail service instead.

No bus service between Downtown Disney and the theme parks (but there's bus service between Downtown Disney and the resorts).

Yes, you can get from park to park easily using disney transportation. Its not always a bus but it is very easy to use.

For example from MK to Epcot - monorial, from MGM to Epcot Boat, from MGM to AK, bus. You will get a transportation guide when you check in so no worries.

The more complicated issue is getting from resort to resort - this is what you have to do via a park or DTD.

Buses are convenient but I'm glad to see the mention of other alternatives to getting to the parks. We really enjoy the monorail ride to EPCOT/MK and the boat ride between MGM/EPCOT. We also make sure to take the monorail past all the lagoon resorts after our Ohana evening dinner. It gives us the ability to stop off at the resorts and check them (and their gift shops) out for unique items. :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

One more clarification--The only resort bus at TTC is SOG. All of the rest leave from MK.

There is also a bus from MGM to Epcot...we took it just about two months ago - we were walking between the two and saw the bus right there and waiting...can't remember the stop number but its right there when you exit MGM...and much faster than the boat!
