Can I use Disney Bus transportation to go between parks/DTD even if I am not staying at a Disney resort?
Once you're on the bus, it's about 15 minutes from the Poly to DTD. At least the way I drive it.I have heard stories that it took an hour or more to get from the Poly to DTD and that other routs weren't much better.
It's absolutely quicker to take a cab. If it's in your budget, that's the way to go. It makes for a better trip if you speak certain foreign languages though, I'm just saying. So much so that I know of folks who called a cab instead!
I'm confused by that statement. I've discovered the hard way that most guests hate it when I make a turn on two, or is it three wheels.it takes buses forever sometimes to be able to make a turn or for a light. Or it seems that way!
I have never been told to do that, even when a park has been closed. Besides, without my reading glasses, I'm old you know, you could be showing me your expired library card. There could be certain VERY VERY busy times where they would make you show a WDW resort card to use the buses
Much earlier than 10:30 from the MP. PI is a little later than that. I've picked up people cheating Disney out of the parking fee as early as 7:30/7:45. That's ok, when I drop them off at the resort, I tell them to take the next bus that says DTD and that it's actually going to the MK, all the MK marquees are stuck on DTD.Also buses don't run from DTD until later in the morning. Maybe 10:30.
Don't even need that. All you need is yourself to ride the buses. Make sure you're wearing a shirt and something on your feet though. Oh, and be in a good mood. I don't let grumpy people or Yankee fans on my bus. That's a redundent statement isn't it?Everyone who holds park entrance passes is welcome to use any Disney transportation.
A number of factors are considered when coming up with a route. It's not just the distance. The routes being used are supposed, key word, supposed, to be the most efficient for that location when taking all factors into consideration. One factor they leave out is the "I'm angry because it's taking too long" factor. The buses heading to DTD seem to take forever though. I would think there is a much shorter route, but for some reason they don't take it.
That's very true. Driving is best. But you probably didn't have to wait for someone to close their stroller after the bus arrived, then knock riders on the head as they make their way to the very rear of the bus and then stand for five minutes trying to figure out what to do with it. And you probably didn't have anyone cutting you off so that they can get to that next red light before you. I speed up so that they end up beside me at the light and give them the Disney bus driver look. And did you stop at TL even though no one is going there because it's 32 degrees? No, you didn't. It all adds up.I do know that I was astounded when I drove to DTD from BW one time...just could not believe how short the ride was.

But, it does take longer, much longer, for the buses to get to DTD..once they get moving, than a car. They take a completely different route. But, I'm sure there's a reason for that.
I can see fine. Pay no attention to the eye patch. And can we talk about the glasses?? Hopefully it's just that reading distance that's an issue.

There is. This is just me reasoning things out, but did you ever realize how short the ride is from OKW and SSR? That's the route every (or pretty much every) bus takes when Marketplace is open. They turn right from the SSR road onto the DTD street, then turn right again into the parking lot. Simple. No lights (okay, not no lights, but you know what I mean), no crossing traffic, no left turns... did you know UPS drivers are supposed to avoid left turns whenever possible? It saves fuel.OH, don't be bothering me with technicalities!!! 3 wheels??? Cool, sounds like fun. And can we talk about the glasses?? Hopefully it's just that reading distance that's an issue.
And about those Yankees fans??? I want to be on your bus....save it for Boston fans. Yeah! I wanna be on Magicbus's bus!!!
