Disney Birki's

I like them with thick socks in the winter. I don't find them comfortable enough for tons of walking, like in the parks

Birkenstocks are the only shoes I wear in the parks, but I have been wearing them as my primary footwear for 25 years. I would suggest going to a local store that carries them and trying a pair on. They are not for everyone. You need to see if the arch supports hit you in the right places. Also, in the shoe store, they probably have them in 2 different widths. It looks as if the QVC ones are NOT the narrows, so make sure those are not the ones you try because they fit very differently.

I had been told to be sure to break in your birks before wearing them for long periods of time, since the cork forms to your feet. I followed this rule most of the time. When they are broken in, there is nothing more comfortable. But I broke my toe at OKW and had to wear my newish birkenstocks all day in Epcot since they were the only open toe shoes I had with me outside of flip flops.....the arches of my feet were in agony by the end of the day.

as a teen I wore birks alot. I would start to wear them around the house or to run short errands to begin with. they are originally designed as an orthopedic shoe that also works some of your leg muscles. Definitely break them in and get used to walking in hem for along time. one you get used to them you'll love them.

my daughter has a pair of those and wore them the whole time we were at Disney in March and LOVED them. She wears them all the time at home too. I have tried them on and they are wonderful, just haven't bought them yet.

Oh how I wish I hadn't looked at this post! LOL! They are too cute, I want them.

I agree with everyone about breaking them in. I only wear Birks, Crocs and Uggs and I've never had sore feet :)

Also, in the shoe store, they probably have them in 2 different widths. It looks as if the QVC ones are NOT the narrows, so make sure those are not the ones you try because they fit very differently.

Actually, I think QVC only stocks the narrows now. I used to buy quite a few pairs of Birkenstocks from the Q, but a few years ago, I found that the shoes they were carrying weren't wide enough for my foot, and I know the standard footbed is perfect.

Strange about the QVC Birks. I got a pair with the footbed filled in (which should be narrow) and they were really wide. Same thing happened to my friend.
You either love or hate Birks, they do need to break in and that takes a while. I wore them all the time until Crocs came out. I would like a Disney pair as well, but 6pm is sold out in most sizes.

I just bought Disney Birkis on Amazon for $81 ... less than on QVC. I got them late last week and have been wearing them a little at a time to break them in. Not sure if I will get to the point that I can wear them in the Parks all day but maybe. I love them though!

OMG!! I love those shoes! Now I am on a mission to find them cheaper. 6pm has some Disney Birkis for about half the price, but none exactly like that. I didn't even know that they made Disney ones. Thanks for the post!
