Disney Bells and Pixie Dust! Our Practically Perfect Vacation!*Thanks for reading!

My fav update of all so far Monica. I love all these same things at AK and of course BOMA. The pics of Hunter with his ice cream remind me of a hot summer trip we took when I got one of those ice creams all over the front of my shirt and hadn't realized it. My DH took tons of pics of it and teased me to no end. I had to buy this hideous AK shirt to change into. Not one of my better moments.

I'm so glad you liked BOMA. For years we did not try this place because we are not buffet people (buffet etiquette issues seriously creep me out). But one of our DS's begged to try it one trip and since then, we haven't missed it on any trip. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that pork. And the little desserts are fun (yeah, I agree that the zebra domes are not the best choice they have).

Oh and I thought the Photopass pics with EE in the background were great. We did not see that photographer and missed getting that shot. Too bad, because it's great. It was a very nice family photo of all 5 of you.

Might not be one of your better moments, but its got me laughing!:rotfl:

BOMA IS THE BOMB! Hey, I could make up jingles for Disney. Do ya think they would hire me?:rolleyes1

Thanks. I love those too. I relly love the one with Hunter and Dave. I asked them to take that. Another reason to go back!

Pakey, I'm so glad you've come over here. It's been great getting to know you!:thumbsup2

I love the Jammin Jungle Parade! :cool1: I think it is the music that gets me. I would dance all around if Abby would stop slugging me!

I would pay money to see that!:lmao:

Monica, love the updates on Animal Kingdom. We have never made it to that parade - another reason to go back, right?

Love the "scared" picture. :thumbsup2

Your safari pictures are great - that rhino butt is hilarious. :rotfl2: The closeup one is pretty amazing - they look so prehistoric.

I didn't get a rhino butt picture, but I do have a gorilla butt picture. It should be in my next section of trip report. Whenever I get around to it. :confused3

Boma sounds good! Buffets end up being so much more work for us moms with little guys and girls! By the time you get their food back to the table, you finally go stand in line again for your own food, only to get back to the table and they have finished and want to go back up for something else. Ugh. I like menu and family style places myself, but some of those buffets are just too good to pass up, you know?

Can't wait for more... popcorn::

Yes, buffets with kids not the funnest thing. Especially when you throw characters into the mix!(Tune into my next installment!)

We're like kids giggling at animal butts!:rotfl2: I knew there was a reason we all seem to click. WE'RE CRAZY!

I love the Photopass photos in front of EE- especially the scared one! I convinced my DH that we need ;) to order one for our August trip.
We are planning BOMA as one of our meals. I thought it would be a good choice for my vegetarian DD and a good opportunity to visit the AK resort. My DS and DH are worried it is going to be too strange-were there plenty of items you think non-adventurous eaters will like?
I remember how much I didn't like buffets when my kids were little- by the time I got my food they were done and getting bored with sitting. Those were the times when my mostly well behaved kids became brats- playing with the salt and pepper shakers, flipping the silverware, stirring the ice in their glasses, etc. :scared1: I like buffets much better now that everyone is grown- my biggest problem now is everyone leaves the table at one time and I'm always worried about the table being cleaned off because they think we are finished.
Hunter seemed to really enjoy his ice cream- those photos are definitely keepsakes! As cold as it is here right now, it is hard to believe how nice the weather was in Florida when you were there. I am ready for spring!!!!!!

Well, I'm about the pickiest eater you'll find and I loved it! Don't go by the menu because it could turn you off. I've heard people love the butternut squash soup which would be good for you daughter. Definitely go!

:rotfl: You just described my kids at Boma! They're good kids until they get bored! Can't blame them. I just kept loading Hunter up with zebra domes!:rolleyes1

Be sure to pre-order the CD to save $$. I found it hard to find where to preorder on the Photopass website so google "pre order Photopass" and it'll lead you to where to go. Then make sure you save the email they send you with your code. You have to have that when you are ready to have them send it to you.

If you have any questions about where we found certain Photopass people let me know. Don't be afraid to request certain poses of for them to take more.

When do you know that you are DIS obsessed? When you come home on a Saturday night to find 61 emails for the day and 58 of them are discussion board notifications! Dave really thinks I'm crazy!:rotfl:

Happy Super Bowl! I hope to have an installment tommorrow night.

We’re going to Magic Kingdom today! I’m so excited! I just know that this is going to be the best day! We had decided to celebrate Hunter’s 6th birthday today. He had already been 6 for 5 weeks, but he just didn’t understand why we could go to Disney for Megan’s birthday, but not his so we told him today was his day.

Goals:
Yummy breakfast at Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends
Ride as many rides as possible
Watch 3:00 parade
Meet lots of characters
Spectromagic
Hunter ride Space Mountain
Photopass pictures

So we we’re trying for rope drop again, but our bus had other plans. The driver was having problems with the hydraulics so he ended up having to turn the bus off. Then we had four more stops. We get to Mk, get through the security and I hear the train whistle. Missed it again! The plan was to head to Dumbo, but of course we didn’t hurry.

This picture cracks me up. The horse is looking at the kids like, "Yum, lunch!"

Love this!

We saw Pinocchio! When we were about the 3rd group in line the lady in front of us let her entire family in line which included about 10 kids. I of course said something to her and got the, “We’re all together” answer. Well, the CM wasn’t havin it, and told her no way! I don’t mind if you’re holding the line for one or two, but 12 and 13? Um, no. The family was not very happy, but I was very happy that the CM did the right thing. They took one pic and stormed off. He He He! Our turn!
magickingdom004.jpg

Did you know that Pinocchio only has 4 fingers on each hand? Hunter was looking at him like, "I'm not 7!"
magickingdom005.jpg

Pinnochio has the prettiest legs!

Next up was Chicken Little! The characters loved that their pictures were on their autograph page. I gave myself a pat on the back several times this trip!

Finally, we’re heading in the right direction! Take some pictures of the castle, skip the Photopass standing there with nothing to do, (um, why don’t I have Photopass from this day in front of the castle?) Oh well, here’s one from the party night.

On our way into Fantasyland we see that there is no line for Adventures of Winnie the Pooh so we hop on. Dave had the camera and he took a picture of every scene! He’s so funny. He secretly loves Disney! This is one of my favorite rides. I love Winnie the Pooh and Friends. Megan also loved this ride.

Next up is Dumbo. 15 minute wait. What is it about this ride? It just goes around in a circle for a minute or two, but it’s magical anyway. I was so excited to take Megan on this. I rode with Hunter and Dave rode with Meggie. Dave took some great shots.

By now it was 10:00 and time to head over to the Crystal Palace for breakfast and celebrate!

Next up: Crystal Palace, my mom’s big mistake, and another one of my favorite pictures!

Awww, Pinnochio is so, um.... Dainty? :rotfl2:

That is too funny about the four finger thing! Never noticed that before!

Love the Dumbo pictures - what a beautiful day! :cloud9:

Way to stand up to the lady with a bazillion kids! Wait... I had a bazillion kids with me - but I would have never done that! Glad to see the CM had some hootzpa!

Glad to see Dave getting into the Pooh action! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Can't wait for more!

Sara

There are a lot of great pics in this update Monica. I can't decide if I like the one of Megan and Pinnochio or the one of you and Hunter on Dumbo the best. And good for that CM for taking care of the crowders. We had the same thing happen to us waiting in line for Dopey. There was a girl in a wheelchair in front of us, jr high age, broke her foot playing soccer. She was with one girl in line and right before they got up there, the entire soccer team showed up. And then to make it even more irritating, they decided that they wanted various group pictures and individual pictures, one mom showed up and wanted them to repeat some of the poses so that she could them on her camera too. My cousin, Vik, retired law enforcement, was about ready to "cuff em". The CM did apologize to everyone in line but didn't stop it.

I don't usually ride Dumbo but I think I might have to next time because Dave got some great shots while on that ride.

I am so glad that both you and the CM stood up to that rude lady and would not let all those people cut in line.

YAY! :yay: A Monica update!

Love Megan in her Minnie get-up! So cute!

And that picture of you and Hunter is great! Frame worthy for sure! You and your little man... awwww.

Great pictures from this installment. I love the Dumbo shot the best! Thank goodness that CM was on top of things, what are people thinking:confused3

I love the Dumbo ride, I haven't been on it in a while cause I'm afraid Dumbo won't fly (if you know what I'm saying :rotfl2: )

I'm thinkin about updating my report today..... maybe

Kimmy, what is your trip report called?

Great pictures on this update Monica! I agree that the one of you and Hunter on Dumbo is exceptional! :)

Never knew Pinochio had only four fingers - learn something new every day here on the DIS!

I know I've said it before but your kids are just too cute!

Monica
I am so far behind! In light of that , I'll start with the rhino butt pictures:laughing: ........Very cool. My kids would give you extra points if you have any shots of one pooing! :rotfl: Sickos both of them!

Hubba Hubba, those are some handsom men in that picture in front of EE.;) ;)

You're making me sorry we switched from Boma to Tusker House. Tony didn't want to have to leave the park early to go to dinner because our day there was an extra magic night until 9:00pm. Of course we were so tired we left by 7:00 anyway!:sad2:

Your MK pictures are beautiful!

Can't wait for more!

Lynn

Don't you love pictures with your baby boy! There is something extra special about the mom and son pics! Love it!

BTW - we never made rope drop either! Just not morning people I guess :confused3

Monica, I can't pick my favorite picture, they are all FANTASTIC!! I didn't know that about Pinochio either :confused3. I loved all the pictures from AK and MK. I am sorry I haven't posted here sooner, too much real life stuff is going on that my DIS life is suffering. I will try to keep up from now on.

Great update Monica. I love your pics of the parde and the ones of your family are cute too. AK looks great that time of day. I might be putting AK back on the list for March. I might be able to squeeze in a couple hours at least. I think everyones trip report is on the AK day right now :goodvibes .

More please!!

Hi! Glad you're slill reading! Our Mk day will probably be 4 installments!

Dainty!

:rotfl: I actually thought of you when I was typing that! Yes, and the CM wasn't super nice about it either!

Pooh action!:rotfl2: You're cracking me up today!

I don't usually ride Dumbo but I think I might have to next time because Dave got some great shots while on that ride.

Pakey, you're gonna have to take another trip soon to do all of the stuff you missed! You have to ride Dumbo!

I am so glad that both you and the CM stood up to that rude lady and would not let all those people cut in line.

Yeah, I'm not shy!:rolleyes1 It's just so rude you know? Glad you're still reading.

YAY! :yay: A Monica update!

Love Megan in her Minnie get-up! So cute!

And that picture of you and Hunter is great! Frame worthy for sure! You and your little man... awwww.

I loved Megan's outfit that day! Since one of the things that was left at home were our Mickey ears! Of all things to forget!

Yeah, me and my little boy!:sad1: I want to hurry and get back before he's too old!

I love the Dumbo ride, I haven't been on it in a while cause I'm afraid Dumbo won't fly (if you know what I'm saying :rotfl2: )

I'm thinkin about updating my report today..... maybe

:rotfl: :lmao: KIMMY! Stop it!:rotfl2:

Yeah, I'll believe it when I see it!:rolleyes1 Just like you said you'd email me the pics of Hunter! Still waitin....

Sounds like a good idea!! ::yes::

See Kimmy! Everyone's waiting!

Great pictures on this update Monica! I agree that the one of you and Hunter on Dumbo is exceptional! :)

Never knew Pinochio had only four fingers - learn something new every day here on the DIS!

I know I've said it before but your kids are just too cute!

Wow, I taught everyone something!

Thank you!

Lynn

Hey Lynn! Glad you wandered back over here! Well, ScottNY has a picture of a peeing donkey if you're interested!

I love that pic of the boys! Now I just need to figure out the best way to get copies off of the Photopass!:confused3

Don't you love pictures with your baby boy! There is something extra special about the mom and son pics! Love it!

BTW - we never made rope drop either! Just not morning people I guess :confused3

I love my little boy! He's a sweetie!

We are not morning people either! I can't believe we ALMOST made it! That's the only reason we homeschool. I wouldn't be able to get us all up that early!:rotfl:

Monica, I can't pick my favorite picture, they are all FANTASTIC!! I didn't know that about Pinochio either :confused3. I loved all the pictures from AK and MK. Hey Tracy! I know you have alot going on. Thanks for stopping by.

I am happy with our pictures. It makes a huge difference to have a digital camera!

Great update Monica. I love your pics of the parde and the ones of your family are cute too. AK looks great that time of day. I might be putting AK back on the list for March. I might be able to squeeze in a couple hours at least. I think everyones trip report is on the AK day right now :goodvibes .

We really love AK. I'm sure its not fun in the heat though. March shouldn't be too bad. I think it depends on if your kids like animals. Is your March trip just you and Kaylee or the whole family?

I know everyone seems to be on AK. Scott's pics are putting mine to shame!

Hey everyone. We moved our baby girl out of her crib today.:sad2: Makes me sad.

Hi Monica! :wave2: I'm really late joining this, but I've "seen" you on a bunch of other reports I've been reading so I decided to stop by. Just finished page 4 and I've been :rotfl:

back to reading now :goodvibes
