I know there is a Disney barber shop on Main Street--is it rather packed? My friend is thinking of having her 16 month old get his first hair cut at disney, and I will have my 18 month old if I can hold off that long... is it usually crowded?
Just wondering, can i take my DD to the barbershop or is it strickly for boys only? Would love to have my DD have her first haircut at Disney...but paying for BB boutique is abit overprices for us.

Definately take her! It is for every one. Make sure to tell them it is her first haircut or they usually ask... She will get Mickey ears that say "First Haircut" on the back and a certificate. Michal even wrapped up ALL of DS's hair clippings along with some pixie dust for us to keep.![]()

What age do they start cutting hair? We're thinking about doing this with DS, who has a lot of hair, but he'll only be 9 months. Opinions?
Those pictures are great, but I'm not sure I would wait in line for that! Though I love the little hat and the pixie dust mixed in with the hair.
It depends on your kid...Do you think he will be able to sit in the chair? I think it depends on the temprament of your child. Maybe bring something he can hold while sitting in the chair to keep him busy and in one place.
He then put stickers all over DS. That kept DS busy pulling them off and giving them to me. He didn't even pay any attention to the person cutting his hair. They have stickers and toys for the kids to hold and play with while they cut their hair. No need to get your stuff full of hair. The first time we got DS's hair cut Michal took a minute to kind of make friends with DS touching his hair just to kind of get him used to it so it didn't jump away when he had scissors in his hands. He then put stickers all over DS. They are very good with the kids.

I LOVE this picture! He looks so "... What?"
Normally I don't think I would have waited in a line that long either, but I wanted to have his 1st haircut on his first birthday. It was already late in the day because I had waited until 3:00 parade time (about 2:30) to head over on the advise that the line would be storter then. I wasn't sure what time they closed and I wasn't sure if the lines would even get shorter if I waited until later. Since it was important to me to have it done that day we waited. And hey we got to see the parade for there!
