my daughter will be almost three when we leave Friday for our trip. Does she have to wear her magic band or can I wear it for her? Not sure that she'll keep it on.

do what you need to. she might surprise you and like matching everyone else especially when she learns she can scan things with it.

You can get a magic keeper, which is a holder for the center puck part of the magic band, if you find wearing 2 of them to be difficult and if your daughter doesn't want to wear it... I'd just wait and see if it becomes a problem and if it does I'd look into the magic keeper option at one of the gift shops (they should sell the magic band accessories and the magic keeper is one of them). Good Luck!

She doesn't need the band for anything at that age. My 1.5 year old son won't wear his. I just threw it in the bag and haven't looked at it since.

If you go after she turns 3 and she still doesn't want to wear it, you can get a keychain ($10 at many stores at Disney) and put the Mickey head in there. This is what I did as my band kept popping off (I actually lost it twice).

When my son was that age, we found it easier if he didn't wear it. That helped when going through fastpass lines since then he wouldn't try to scan his band when he was too young to need a fastpass.

My son is almost 3. He wore it for about 2 minutes when he saw us put ours on. It is just for looks when under 3. I actually don't know that it even would have worked on our door, etc.

My daughter hates hers. I just keep it in my backpack and pull it out when it's time for a fastpass

I kept my daughters in my pocket most of the time (she's 3). I would give it to her to scan for FastPasses if she asked but it was easier to just hang on to it. My 5 year old wore his most of the time. He got a lot more interested in wearing it after we let him print a Kylo Ren band at the TomorrowLand Light and Power Company.

We just received out Magicbands in the mail this week. My 2 yr old daughter loves wearing it!! She wore it to bed the first night after getting it. LOL Not sure if she will wear it the whole time we are at Disney, but am glad she has the option since her older siblings will have them too.

We went my my daughter was about to turn 3 so she technically did not have to wear one. She absolutely wanted to be just like the rest of us and would get annoyed when hers did not light up at the FP kiosks like ours did!
She may surprise you and be like my daughter was.

last summer 2.5 year old grandson had to have his on just like his older brothers. he was very proud of his band. now the 4 month old granddaughter could careless about hers. the 4.5 year old loved being the one to scan her band for the photo pass pictures when she was doing a good job with listening. yes we had a large family group of 14 with ember being all ages

It would have opened the door.

my 2.5 year old love having his on even though he didn't have anything attached to his. Heck he still wears it around even though we have come home from our trip.
