Disney Autograph books made on Shutterfly

Awesome book. I am going to make these for our next trip (which is not until September 2014). I figure if I start now I should have a book for each child that I am happy with. Lol

what I was wondering is what kind of back ground pic should I use for my pics, and for characters I don't have pics of and may bump into, what should I use? I know I use a plain white page...but ugh..lol! I was hoping there was something much more fun. I suppose I could cut scrap paper and put it on top of the plain pages and fancy it up with my existing scrapping stuff, but h honestly, I wanted it all kind of stream lined and not bulky.... I may possibly be putting too much thought into all of this!

I would love to see pics of peoples completed projects though!

I always do a bunch of generic pages that are not character specific for those we know we might not meet/those I have forgotten about. I try to give it a light hearted take and usually have a heading along the lines of "What a great surprise! We didn't expect to find you!"

For backgrounds I get mine from various sources - some free downloads, others are purchased digital backgrounds, I've made some and also, I like to buy a pack of Scrapbook paper from the Disney Parks every year and I scan some of those and save them as jpg's and use them in my digital books. Hope that helps :)

I do mine as photobooks as well. I prefer hard covers to the soft cover as it protects the pages better. This won't probably help you as I ordered mine from Europe. It was done offline on desktop photobook creator software and then uploaded to their order site for printing. This year I did it as 8.5 x 12 inch hard cover book in landscape format. I am posting a few screen grabs of it from the laptop so image quality on here may not be too good but it will give you an idea.

It's very addictive! Often the sun will start coming up and I think "Oh no, I need to go to work in a few hours and haven't gone to sleep yet!" :lmao:

I did a total of 38 pages

These are amazing!!

Would you mind posting the background JPGs for the autograph/character pages that you used? I also use the autograph pages to make my (very basic) books for my daughter, with photographs layered on top. I've never seen anything as awesome as yours, though!

thank for all the tips an help! Those pages are GORGEOUS! I would love to do something like that, idk if I have time though lol. When I get around to it, I will try and post what I cam up with! Now to decided on one book for both kids, or one for each of them.... yikes lol
