So this is what happens when your spouse offers you an Annual Pass and you only live like 3 hours away.

So we are heading down in Oct for birthday celebrations. I want to go again to see the christmas decor. How bad is thanksgiving weekend. Husband is given the whole 4 days off traditionally and we would be staying off property.

Is it really worth going? We will have 2 young kids. Which won't be doing any night time events. But is it too crowded or should we wait till Dec when I know in the beginning of the month its a little less crowded.

It's a pretty crowded weekend. Early December should be less so.

Went last year from the Sunday before Thanksgiving till the Saturday after. Crowds gradually got worse the closer to Thanksgiving. We spent Friday in magic kingdom and Epcot (for dinner & candlelight processional) and Saturday in Epcot and then Animal Kingdom. Crowds were high but we went knowing that and using our fast passes to our advantage. If you have other options to visit around the holiday (we didn't....live too far and kids miss too much school), I would definitely go another time to avoid the crowds.
With that being said, we booked again the same dates this year! We absolutely love Disney at the holidays and plan for the crowds accordingly.
