Disney Assigned New Reservation Numbers

I just noticed on the member website that with the system upgrade, Disney has assigned new reservation numbers on the activity statement page for all pending reservations. The old number is referenced at the bottom.

Hope this doesn't cause problems.

My reservation number is still the same but I am noticing my dining plan is not showing and it does not show that I did online check in. Update- just got off phone with MS, they did confirm confirmation number has changed. They stated ,I needed to do online check in again. They did confirm my dining plan but still not showing under the new reservation number. Anyone having the same issue?

No, they are not the same. You want to look at the contracts activity statement.

It sure would be nice if they would tells about these changes ahead of time and how or if it might affect us.

When I called MS at 9:30 this morning, the agent did not know why all my reservations had new numbers. She probably thought I was crazy when I said all my numbers had changed. I need to go online using the old number and see what happens.

I believe the problem may be that the reservation numbers from the old software system Disney was using had one number for your reservation and now has a new number for the new system. I called just to confirm my reservation and was told that the number I have is incorrect and was quoted a new number. The CM told me that the numbers have changed.

HOWEVER; if you look on the dvcmember.com Website and click on Vacation Details you will still see (most likely) your old number. As a computer systems administrator I can tell you most assuredly it is highly possible that because the old numbers are still being pulled from a database by the Webserver to populate the Vacation Details, the old number may be passed to the new reservation system (which has the new number) and causing conflicts and could continue causing problems with Online Check-In until it is updated.

I called WDWDisneyPlay and confirmed that my Firework Cruise Res number is still the same as is my Dining Res numbers.

I recommend that you call MS just to make sure you have the correct number ASAP.

I still don't see my new reservation numbers, but in fact, I have new reservation numbers. I just got off the phone with MS and confirmed that my reservation numbers have changed. I'm going to get an email with the updated numbers.

I see it now on the contract page.

Well, so much for getting an email from MS within the hour with my new reservation numbers. It didn't happen for whatever reason. I still got them off of the website, but now wonder if something is hosed with their email feature.

When I called them this afternoon, they stated the new reservation number was coded for mail confirmation. They were unable to email me a confirm.

I can retrieve my reservations on MyDisneyReservation.com/DVC using the old confirmation number, but when I click on reservation details it says "room only" where it used to say "dining". Do I need to call MS to make sure the dining plan is still on the ressie, or is it due to the system upgrade?
