Happy birthday Andrew!

I like the Bo Peep costume better than the angel uniform.

Note to self: If DS ever says anything about lacrosse, discourage him. ;)

Carol, sorry about the mom dropping your booth at the last minute. That really stinks.

Gotta get back to work. I've been messing around this morning instead of getting my work done. Better work hard and catch up.

Quick hello, been car looking with DS, and left him at the massage therapist (massage parlor?). Trying to get caught up on my onw computer, very inconvenient having a guest in the room!

78.00 camp clothes
50.00 shoes
250.00 camp
30.00 body suit

20.00 mandatory donation of cans/bottles
that's 538.00 and I know there are things I'm forgetting.........I don't remember sports being that expensive when I was in school.

yes, but bo-peep ala TDS is $54.99, minus 10% DC...still pricey for one night.....

Lars, I've heard how expensive hockey can be! I guess I really wouldn't have a problem paying for lacrosse if that is what he really, really, wants to do, but I have a feeling it would turn out the same way that soccer and baseball went for him. :guilty:

I think I could make a bo peep dress pretty cheaply, but notice how less revealing the Disney Store is than the other. And the other isn't bad, I would wear it, but I am not too modest!

I wonder why the lacrosse equipment is so costly. When I played lacrosse in high school (back in the dark ages) all we needed was a lacrosse stick. There must me lots of protctive padding now.

Well, if that's what he really wants..

Woo Hoo! They're letting us go early today! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Mrs. AlabamaAlan is singing at a Toys For Tots kick off campaign tonight after we take the kinder to Chick-Fil-A again.

Hmmm...I wonder if I can get her to wear the Bo Peep outfit tonight? ;)

Have a great weekend Angels!

Alan, have fun at the Toys for Tots kickoff. You can keep the details of the rest of your night to yourself. ;)

Leah and I are getting ready to leave for a camping weekend with the Brownies. We'll be singing lots of songs and thinking of you guys!!!

Don't get too chatty on me! :wave2:

DS played ice hockey since he was about 12.
He's been out of school for 4 years now. It cost us $100 a month for 9 months, and that didn't include any of his equipment.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDREW!

Lk, I hope you and Leah have great weather!

Computer seems to be working better today maybe I shouldn't say that too loud

Wow - all that money for sports!! Thank goodness, my DS only plays soccer now - $35 registration fee and that's it besides $15 shoes. Our neighbor's son plays hockey for 2 teams. He was in a private school along w/ his sister, but he decided to transfer to the public school this year - I know his parents are thrilled w/ saving some money.

Alan - what are you going to be if your DW is Bo-Peep?!:smooth:

where can you find a stuffed Rufus?? DBF and I may go as Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable for hallwoeen

Lorraine...where are you? Let's talk about the evil twin!!!!
:chat: :listen: :rotfl:

Just wanted to say hi to you all... very long and tiresome day here. :wave2: I hope you all have a great evening and weekend :)

I folded and hung up TONS of laundry today. Where does it all come from? My family can go through clean clothes like nothing I've ever seen before!

Then, I fixed dinner and while the guys watched baseball I scrapbooked for a while. I hadn't pulled out my scrapbooks in ages. It's like therapy for me. :p I went through my almost 400 pictures that I just ordered from Ofoto and did a couple of pages. I did a marching band page and a Thanksgiving page. They look pretty good if I do say so myself.

Now I'm tired and I'm thinking I'll head for bed. I was hoping the Cubbies would win tonight and they are tied, but I'm getting too sleepy to watch the end. Maybe I'll let the guys cheer for me and sneek off to bed. Now if my Royals were playing it would be another story. ;)

David's hoping to hit the neighborhood selling popcorn and wreaths in the morning. We have to do our share since dad is the wreath chairman. LOL! Actually, our troop is expecting a visit next summer from our brother troop in England. We need to make a lot of money to help defray the cost of their trip. I'm thinking the wreaths might sell better than the popcorn, since everyone is selling that right now.

We are planning to watch the OU game on tv. It's our big Red River Shootout against Texas. We usually have tickets, but we weren't able to get any this year. It's just as well. Allen feels terrible and we have to get him packed by tomorrow night since he leaves early Sunday morning.

Later we plan to go out to dinner with MIL, FIL and extended family on that side. Allen's aunt and uncle are visiting from Texas, so we want to see them. They live in the Dallas area, but we seldom get down there to visit.

Until tomorrow. . .

Good Morning Everyone!

Last night turned into a surprise night out for DH and I. He was planning on going out with the guys from work for a couple of hours. He called at 6, and asked if I could come join them. Of course, I didn't have a sitter, and was pretty irritated that he thought I could just waltz out like that.....but then after I hung up, I had another idea, and inside of 60 minutes, I was dressed, kids fed, and walking into the bar.....he was shocked to say the least. It turned out really nice, as the crowd at the bar was breaking up, and we ended up going out to dinner by ourselves.......very nice surprise!!!!

Today is actually a "OFF" day, no soccer, no scouts, no demands on our time. We're going to putter here this morning, then take a hike this afternoon to check out the foliage which is peak right now....I'll post some pics later!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good morning friends

Steph, sounds like a fun day you have planned. DH and I love to take hikes in the woods. So what did you do with the kids last night?

I have to apologize for speading untruths. The mom who was supposed to run the concession stand was there and nothing was said. My reliable source was wrong. Things ran as smoothly as they ever do, which is sometimes questionable.

We lost the homecoming football game 33 - 6. It was awful, but the band looked and sounded good. Actually, a comment was made that maybe the band could have done better than the players on the field.

DD is so nice. She shared with me. Now I have the sore throat and cold. Really didn't sleep well at all last night. At least I don't have much to do today. The kids have the homecoming dance tonight.

DS's birthday was nice. He thanks you all for the good wishes and the Corvette. After the game we went out for pizza. Got home about 11 for cake and gifts. A LATE celebration. Then I put DD's hair up in rag curlers so she would be beautiful tonight.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Carol, it does sound like I just left my kids home doesn't it?????

I actually had one of the teen girls in the neighborhood babysit.....lucky for me, there wasn't a football game last night, and she was available. Normally, I only have my parents, or our neighbors watch the kids...to hire a babysitter is a big deal for me....lol
