Gail, looks like a fun weekend trip.

Marsha, good luck with your surgery. Keep us posted. How long do you get to stay in the hospital?

This weekend has been Spirit Week at the kids high school. Wednsday they were to dress as twins with another person or as a famous duo. Sarah and her friend hang out in the English wing all the time. Sarah is taking 5 English credits this year, so she is well known over there and knows most of the teachers. Two of the teachers dressed up as Sarah and her friend. The one who dressed as DD got a band hat and added red braids to it, wore a band jacket and sandles with socks. (Something DD does all the time.) The other teacher made "dredlocks" in her hair and a fake bandage on her knee to be the friend who had let her hair go into dredlocks last year and had a bad scape on her knee from a skateboard accident. The teachers had their picture in the video morning announcements therefore making DD and her friend into mini celebrities. All very funny.

It is foggy here again this morning. Hopefully will be nice for today's football game.

Another band crisis-- the daughter of the Mom who runs our concession stand at home football games has been skipping color guard practices. She was told she could not perform tonight because she didn't come to practice. That's right, the mom quit the concession stand last night at 9 pm and we have to run it today. No one knows what has been ordered or anything like that. Should be a fun night.

Carol, I am sorry that y'all have to be under extra stress because a Mom wouldn't live up to her committment. Perhaps there is more to the story, but it is a shame if it is because her daughter was skipping.

Logan said that they passed out papers for lacrosse the other day in school, and he wanted to "try it". Well, he kept forgetting to bring the paper home, so I e-mailed the school's AD to get the details. Got a response today - $100 for registration, $250 for equipment, and $50 for the uniform! I don't think he's going to be "trying it" at those prices! Wow!!!

Alan, don't know why my DS is interested in lacrosse. Now if it was dirt bike riding, I could understand! Wait til I show him the email from the coach that says you have to run a lot and will get a lot of bruises. That will probably shut him up easier than the $400 cost will.

Oh yeah, it wasn't me in that Bo Peep costume either!
