Thanks Val, although I didn't see any dollars in there which is what I really need!

Morning Angels.....I'm guilty of being a sleepy lurker today...I haven't really had much to say....imagine that.
However...on that note...I LOVE cool-whip......

We had homemade apple pie last night for dessert, with french vanilla ice cream....no cheese though.....bummer.

anyways....off to clean the mess of a house that the kids/DH destroyed over the course of the weekend.

Sheesh...a guy leaves for the weekend and comes back to where the ladies are mentioning bodice ripping romance novels and where to place whipped cream!

Do I have to chaperone the whole lot of ya? :p

Morning! I love brownies - that picture looks yummy! I also love Cool Whip.

I am still trying to get over this sore throat/cold that I've had since Wednesday. On the bright side, that combined with the exercising I've been doing has helped me to lose a few pounds. Wonder if I can stay sick enough to lose all of the weight that I'd like to???

I saw in the paper today that a first grade teacher from one of the other elementary schools in our district was killed in a car crash over the weekend. She was only 28 and just married last year. How sad. Please tell those you love to buckle up!

AA,
We are definately a "needs supervison" group!!!!

LK, sorry to hear such tragic news.

Hi all :) Day is crawling here... I just hope the 2nd half of work for me goes more quickly :)

Steph, you do know though if you don't check in to say hi, we'll miss you tons!!! Heck we'd even remember to say hi to you now and then ;)

LK, so very sorry to hear about the accident :( My prayers are with all her loved ones. And I also hope you feel better soon!

Alan, I know we need supervision, but you think you can handle us????? :p :teeth:

LK, so sad about the teacher. I agree, buckle up, every time. And if you are so inclined, be an organ donor.

Brownies???? Real whipped cream, NO Cool whip for you!!!! All that synthetic stuff is YUK. The closest I come to fake is the canned stuff in the dairy case, but I prefer to whip my own.

Today is Free Ice Cream Cone Day at Dairy Queen. GO on down, make a donation to charity, and get in on the 100th anniversary of the Ice Cream Cone.

I am doing the job ad look see. And I need some ribbon for my bed spread, and I want to start on the sheers for the window. I found the most gorgeous gold sheer with gold metalic swirls on it. I will use that for the sheer, and use this other beautiful gold emroidered white for an accent on the hem. BOth fabrics were "Christmas /Holiday" but they will be very nice in my window. Then the drapes will be a very bright paisly/flower print in purple, orange, black, pink, and also an orange batik/tie dye kinda with red and lined in either deep purple or brown. It all goes together, with out being the same. It sounds like yuk, but it is gonna be nice. We finally decided on a dark gold paint, not that we have seen it yet, but that is what it will be. And DH has an idea for a headboard (we have never had on except on the water beds) but I am leaving that till much later.

See everyone again.

I'm home with allergy boy, I got the dreaded call from the school nurse just as I was getting to work. He made it to school but not to class. He's been congested, coughing, sneezing.....the works, all weekend. When he got to school today (without getting too graphic) what was dripping down his throat decided to come back up. He now has some prescription allergy/cough medicine so I'm hoping it works.

Since he's really not sick he's now doing all his homework...as well as work on a project due next week. We have about an hour before EB joins the homework club.

Such a tragic story LK. There was a similar one in our Sunday paper, but with a happy ending. A 15 year-old boy, riding his bike without a helmet, got struck by a moving car and was thrown about 20 feet. He was very lucky and got only cuts and bruises and he's now planning to speak at local middle schools so kids will realize how important helmets are.

Thanks for the brownies...and the whipped cream.....and the sundae!!! So, Alan's our chaperone?
(OK angels, I'll distract him and everyone else sneak out so we can cause trouble!!!)

You've done this before, haven't you?

TWEET!! Alright Angels, time for a roll call while I install locks on the windows....

But Alan, (she says as innocently as she can manage, with eyes opened wide)
I'm right here tending my sick son!!! :smooth:

What? You thought I would believe it more the second time? :p :p

I'll need a doctor's excuse and it had better not be signed Phil, Seuss, or Spock!

How about this note: Signed by DR RUTH?!?!?!?!?!

bawahahahhaha....as she hands over her yearbook and points out the picture of herself (with waaaay big hair) right under the heading "TEACHER'S PET"

Alan, I'm a doctor, not a writer.....the kid is sick!!!

Dr. Ruth??

I don't think she hands out excuses for Angel's sick children

Although she may may give homework to the Angels....
