Well, I don't want to put anyone to shame, so maybe I'll just sit around the rest of the week!

Just kidding. I usually have to talk myself into doing projects, but I've really been checking things off the list lately. Don't slow me down 'cause I'm on a roll!
I'm usually pretty late getting on the riddle, too. You guys back east put me to shame when it comes to rising early. I may get there earlier this fall, since I'm getting up earlier with David. But I bet my brain won't be functioning any earlier.
The Irish festival sounds fun. I like going to festivals. I think we are going to our local watermelon festival next summer. We've been talking about doing that for years, but just don't get around to it.
Lars, I'm so jealous. I need a new couch in the worst way. I might think of recovering ours, but it's breaking down and if you take the cushions off you can see there are some springs sticking through. I want to replace it with a leather one. We have a navy leather recliner that everyone in the family loves. Maybe this winter we can think about it.
We got on a family plan this summer with our cells. I wanted David to have one when he drives and Allen said Amy could have one too. They think they've died and gone to heaven. The agreement at our house is that if we go over our alloted minutes, the person who talked the most has to pay the additional charges. It's making them be frugal with their time.

And they can always call me for free on my phone and I can call them.
Melissa, my grandpa had Alzheimers. It is a terrible thing. It robbed him of his ability to communicate at first. He was like he was in prison. The words just didn't come out right. Later, he didn't know who anyone was and his personality changed. It was the saddest thing my family ever went through. I keep hoping they'll find a cure. It's very sad.
My family watched both LOTR movies in the past few days. In fact, Amy asked if they could start them over again. She'd never heard the stories before. I think the books are on her must read list now. She loved them. I'm glad to see her expressing interest in something besides Harry Potter and POTC.

She literally wore out one of our hardback Harry Potter books this summer.
I'm heading for bed. Monday is going to be a busy day. I sold about $40 worth of stuff on ebay and I need to box and get it ready to ship. Not a bad take for my first week back. I hadn't sold for several months. I sort of like taking time off in the summer when the kids are home. See you guys tomorrow.
