Hi al... making this real quick. Our ISP is not working again so I am on dial up. I am so mad at this point!!!!! It is totally unbelievable!!!! I'll check in again when my cable modem actually decided to work  Have a great evening all :)

Good evening folks.

I can't believe we are getting backpacks packed and emergency forms filled out. And all of the homework is done. Where did the summer go?

Melissa, good luck with the new church. I hope you are happy there. We are also going through a bad time at church. (I think we discussed this before.) Once the kids are both off at college, unless we have a new minister by then, we will be church shopping.

Shep, thanks for the *bump*. I don't know what is happening to us. Glad to have you around.

Bro, WELCOME HOME. Glad you had fun. Can't wait for pictures.

Off to bed soon.

Good Morning, Good Afternoon, and Good Evening.....been one of those days here....did a whole lot of nothing...grocery shopping, had my family over for cake & ice cream (SURPRISE....got Brooks & Dunn tix for my b-day :0......concert is next Sunday evening)

All things considered...my birthday sucked.....but I'm over it.....

Welcome home to all of our wayward travelers!

I'M BACK......................

Evening Angels and TMWLT!

We got back yesterday at 3 p.m., and I had to hurry and get ready for my girlfriend's party. She got married a month ago and is expecting in a month, so they decided to have a big party to celebrate both. I was sooo tired afterwards.

Where do I start? We had a great time at WDW except for the hot, hot weather and the storms every afternoon. My family has a hard time getting going in the morning, so we couldn't spend as much time in the parks as I'd liked.:( I was up and ready everyday at 8, but my kids are like their father and want rest. My DD got a cold the day we left for WDW which made her a little grumpy. Like LK, I bought a lot of stuff for my collections, and I think I am done w/ enough stuff for a fall exchange. My biggest disappointment was not getting to meet Marsha and Val.:( :( I talked to them a couple times, but the weather kept screwing up my plans. Sorry guys - hopefully someday we will connect. The trip home was eventful. When we stopped for dinner w/ the LK's, we checked out 2 hotels and one was already booked and the other seemed a little pricey. At the next stop, everything was booked! Turns out there was a NASCAR race the next day at Bristol, TN and every place was filled. The LK's decided to head home, but I was so tired and didn't feel like getting home early in the morning. We had to drive another 3 hours before we found a hotel w/ a vacancy!!! Next time, I will scope out any events heading home. Sorry this is so long.

Steph - HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

Diane - hope you are having a great time at WDW!

Bernie - welcome home!!!!!!!

Lars - glad to hear good news about your godson!

Gaspode - any more news on your future home? good luck w/ it!

Sorry I can't respond to everyone - still have to catch up on the old thread.

Welcome Home to BOTH TWINS!!!!!!

**psst.....SB.......in the future....let me know when your travelling through NASCAR country, and I'll clue you in on the race locals...lol**

Glad you're all home safe and sound!

Thanks Kimmar and Steph!

Steph - I will keep you in mind next time!!!

Kimmar - are you going to see your guy on Broadway? Isn't he doing a show there?

...sit in the front row and keep my eyeballs peeled on him, but, he's playing the part of Peter something-or-other, that singer from Australia who was gay (I think he died of aids[?]) and there is a part of the play where Hugh has to kiss a guy square on the mouth!! YUKKKKK!!!! I know it's only acting, but......

The Boy from Oz! Funny you should mention it.....we went past the marquee today.....I think we're going to get tickets for it....opens in October!

Peter Allen is the singer.....

Evening all.

Glad to hear our travelers are checking in safe and sound.

Happy (belated) Anniversary Bernie & Sharon!!!!
Glad to hear your trip was wonderful.

Nice to see SB & LK back again....looking forward to Marsha & Valerie returning as well.

We're just back from Matt's baseball banquet. It's sad to see that grown men (who call themselves the executive board) can still act like silly teenagers in cliques. Since all these "important people" make the rules, all of the festivites were focused on the teams their kids were in. The kids who weren't the chosen ones were barely recogized which is really sad.

Evening All!!

The performance at band camp was wonderful!! I was pleasantly surprised at how well they did!!:D

John-We waved at you guys as we drove through GR on our way to get Matthew at camp.

Melissa-I hope that you'll be happier in your new church. Do you think Amy could come here & teach Meg to cook & clean?:p

Bernie-Welcome Back!! You were missed! Glad that the trip was so much fun!

Elaine-I hope that you get your ISP problem solved ASAP!

Gail-I agree that it is sad when the grown ups act like children. {{{hugs}}}

Gina-I envy you so much for getting to go to Broadway shows......someday I hope to!

Carol-School starts here on Tuesday & I am not ready for it! Our emergency cards have to be turned in at registration in order for the student to get their schedule.

Steph-How could any brithday that included B&D tickets possibly suck? Kix & Ronnie would be shocked to hear that:eek: {{{hugs}}} for you my friend....I'm sorry that your birthday wasn't better.

SB-Glad to have you home!!! We missed you! Sorry that you weren't able to meet up with our other MIA Angels at WDW. Glad that you got to do some power shopping!

 Hi Kimmar!
 Hi Shep!

phew! I'm exhausted from that catch-up! :p

How sad, Gail. Why do adults feel a need to act like that?

Good to see all our travelers returning home. We've missed you all.

Carol, I know what you mean about school. Summer seems to get shorter and shorter as the years go by.

One of my main reasons for wanting to change churches at this point is the kids. We have a tiny youth group and Sunday School for youth. Put that together with the way our whole family feels right now about attending church functions and you have apathy. I don't want my kids to miss out on that church connection that we had before. They are very active in Episcopal youth in our state, but not very active anymore at our local church. And we were one of the families that was involved in EVERYTHING a year ago. It's sad.

...That's it!!

Of course just as I head to bed, I can get on  Good night all

And Happy (belated) Anniversary to Bernie and Sharon :)

E!

Happy belated, and many more wonderful years together, Sharon and Bernie!!!

Oh that's right. Happy anniversary to Bernie and Sharon.

Sending some {{{hugs}}} your way too Melissa. One of the families we deal with in baseball also belongs to our church and
I really haven't wanted to be there when they are. While they play the role of good Christian family their actions are most certainly not.

Happy anniversary Bernie & Sharon..

 Hi Laura..:)
