Gail - sorry to hear about the jerks in your baseball league. It seems like favoritism is everywhere in that sport. My sister got fed up all the time when her son was playing.

Last day to sleep in here. DS starts school tomorrow. He loves his sleep, so it will be hard for him for about a week. The bus doesn't come until 8:50 which gives us a little time to sleep in.

Have to catch up on my cleaning today. Yuck! I did a lot of outside work yesterday. Of course it rained everday in Florida, but we didn't get any here, so my flowers looked terrible.

Gail, we got out of little league when Andrew was in about 4th or 5th grade. One of the reasons was all the politics like you have. It is sad for the kid who really wants to play.

SB, Welcome Home. Sorry you missed meeting Val and Marsha but glad you were able to have fun.

Lars, I wish I could have seen Matt's band performance. I bet it was great.

DS is starting her senior year today. Where did the years go. And DS is a sophomore. I have always been home to see the kids off on the first day and take pictures but they don't go in until noon so DH will have to take the pictures. (Freshman only in the morning.) BTW, they did both finish there summer homework, and I bet there are some kids still working on it this morning.

Off to work for me. College is looming.

Good morning everyone! It is definitely feeling like fall is coming... getting darker earlier and lighter later in the morning. DD starts back to school on Wednesday. She has today and tomorrow to enjoy her last days of freedom for a while! LOL! She is excited about going back though. In fact on Saturday we packed up her backpack with her new supplies - so she is all set to go.

Good morning all. A very cool morning here, I miss the hot days we had in Colorado. Work seems like a very surreal thing today - I'm still in vacation mode.

Welcome back to the twins. I do remember those summer rains in Orlando. We got soaked almost every day when we went in the summer.

Gail - too bad about those Little League parents. I've seen the same thing in soccer and it is reallysad that some adults just don't understand what things like that are supposed to be about - THE KIDS. All of them....

Valerie - how are things with your Mom? I do hope she is doing well!

Melissa - a mud-slinging event? Do they earn a political merit badge?

Meg has her annual sports physical today at 11:40am...our pediatricain is right next door to the mall so it's a perfect opportunity to finish the rest of the school shopping This time I'm dragging Matthew along kicking & screaming....that boy will not go to the first day of school in a ratty old t-shirt if I have anything to say about it! LOL
Hockey starts up again for Matthew this week...seems impossible that we're already thinking about ice hockey! I'm not ready for the school year to start.............I want more summer!!!!!

Morning! I am just enjoying my last "sleep in" day for a long time. The kids start school on Wednesday, but we have to get up early tomorrow because I have to work.

My dad and his wife bought a new house that is a lot closer to us, so I think we might go over today to visit for a little bit. We got a letter from Logan's teacher with a list of supplies, so we need to get that done today also. Nothing from Leah's teacher yet.

The tadpoles that Logan has been waiting for finally arrived in the mail.... while we were on vacation of course! By the time my MIL came over to pick up the mail for the day, they were both dead. Thankfully, she called the company ASAP and they are sending new ones out in a few weeks. We didn't bother telling Logan that they had arrived because he would be too upset to find out they had died.

I've got to get moving now and get a lot of stuff done today.
